Bonnie was in a recent beginners obedience class her owner was worried we wouldn’t be able to teach her recall and get her to listen to commands because she was a little bit older after the first class there was a great improvement and by week 4 she came on in leaps and bounds Bonnie and her owner were very happy with her training 🐾💖

Meet Gaza he’s a 18 month old German shepherd and he’s everything you want in a shepherd he’s currently do 1-1 sessions 🐕

We are currently working on his obedience and building his drive and the owners can already see the difference in him after only 2 sessions and also showing the owner how to make training fun and exciting for Gaza so he is willing to engage 🐾

🐕Meet Finn the Newfoundland 🐕

Finn was in for socialising and also obedience training he was very excitable around other dogs which give his size can cause injury to his owner and dogs 🐶

Finn was thought basic obedience and he was also brought to a beginners obedience class where we could implant his obedience training as well as socialising with the other dogs he was also thought lead manners and his owner saw an immediate Improvement which made walking him much more enjoyable 🐾

🐶Meet one of my dogs 🐶

This is warrior he’s a Belgian shepherd malinios. I imported him from Belgium he was bought as a show dog and has excelled in his first show season he is annual champion for 2024 in his breed as well as placing many times at high level at shows all around Ireland he has also been shown in the UK he has also competed at crufts and has qualified to compete again this year again 🐾

🦴Meet Nelly 🦴

Nelly is a toy poodle that was in for socialisation she was with me once a week for 6 weeks and her confidence just blossomed

Socialising dogs is so important bringing them to different environments such as cafes, parks different areas for there walks Is great to build there confidence🐾

Meet Luna

A 3 year old Doberman her owners came to me because of reactivity issues when out on walks

We did a 4 week programme where I assed Luna and worked with her owners Luna is a high energy dog so we worked on taking her mind and focus off other dogs on her walk teaching her commands and also socialising her more in different environments

After the second session we seen improvements we also implemented obedience training at home for her owners to do with her every day so she had some of her energy burnt off and her brain was worked

Let's talk dog breeds🐾

The Belgian Shepherd🐕

There are four variations of Belgian
Shepherd which are;

Malinois, 1st photo
Groenendael, 2nd photo
Laekenois, 3rd photo
Tervuren, 4th photo

These dogs originate from Belgium there
are of medium size and are bred for
herding. The difference in the varieties is
based on the coat type the Malinois is short
haired fawn in colour with black overlay and black mask, the Groenendael
is black and long haired, the Laekenois is
rough haired fawn in colour with black overlay and black mask and the Tervuren is long haired fawn or grey in colour with black overlay and black mask.

Temperament
Belgian Shepherds are highly intelligent
they need a lot of mental stimulation they
are are also sensitive and alert. They are
highly trainable and hard working dogs
they have a strong guarding instinct as
they were breed to herd. They require training and socialisation from an early age.

Health
There are overall a relative healthy breed.
But like all breeds they have illnes such as hip and elbow dysplasia, skin problems, skin allergies and epilepsy. Life expectancy is 12 to 14 years.

The Fédération Cynologique Internationale
(FC) recognise the Belgian Shepherd as a
single breed with four varieties. The breed should be a finely proportioned combining elegance and power. Squarely built with strong muscle. Though the harmony of its shape and its high head carriage it should give the impression of elegant strength.

Meet Attus he’s a 20 month old Belgian Malinois 6 weeks ago I met his owner and him at the time I couldn’t touch him or get any where near him he was so nervous he was using aggression to try scare me away and he would not listen to the commands his owner give he would bark at people while walking you couldn’t walk dogs past him and he had no off switch fast forward 6 weeks he’s doing a lot better he’s now crate trained which teaches him to switch off he’s learning that people aren’t as scary as they seem and most of all he has boundaries now🐕

Belgian malinois aren’t for everyone please research the breed before you buy one and be willing to put in the time into training🐾
