One last full week at Sandy Feet Farm 💛

And just like that, we’re heading into the final week of our 2026 season.

On Sunday, 30th August, we’ll close the gates for the year — giving the animals, the farm and ourselves a little rest before we start all over again in 2027 - that means no halloween or christmas events this year. There’ll be more about that later. For now, we’re just going to enjoy our last few days of 2026 with you. 🐐🐮🦙🚜

So. Before the school bags are packed, the alarms are set and those dreaded lunchboxes make their return, squeeze in one last trip to the farm and make the most of the final few days of the summer holidays.

If there’s a favourite goat that needs one more hello, a tractor ride still to be taken, an ice cream to be eaten or a final afternoon to be spent wandering around the farm… this is the week for it.

And to all the little ones starting school for the very first time, and all those heading back for another year, we hope you have a brilliant year. 💛

Yesterday our Sensory Garden got very, very messy… and we loved it! 😂🌈

A huge thank you to Play With Trayz for bringing their fabulous messy play session to Sandy Feet. There was plenty of messin', scooping, squishing, pouring, mixing, digging and of little hands getting stuck right in.

It was our very first messy play event and, judging by the happy faces (and the state of a few smallies heading home afterwards 😄), they definately enjoyed it.

We enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning to bring
Play With Trayz back for a couple of messy play days next year.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely morning. 💛

🌾 A little reminder this is happening tomorrow! 🌾

Our Messy Play Sensory Event with Play with Trayz is happening tomorrow, Sunday 9th August, from 10am–1pm.

There’ll be lots of scooping, pouring, digging, building and sensory fun to get stuck into. It’s especially aimed at ages 1–6, but everyone is welcome to join in.

The messy play is an extra activity included with general farm admission, and all our usual farm activities will be running as normal too — animals, tractor rides, playground, sensory garden and plenty more.

No pre booking needed. Just come along… and maybe pack a change of clothes! 😄

Update on Henry the Hedgehog

Lots of people have been in touch asking whether there has been any news about Henry. Sadly, there have been no sightings of him, and we still don’t know where he went or what happened.

We are touched by the number of kind hearted children who arrived at the farm offering to help look for him. It meant so much.

For any little ones who are still worried, or just curious, here is a little story that might help

Henry’s Midnight Adventure
Late one evening, when the farm had gone quiet, Henry spotted a little light twinkling outside his house.
Being a curious hedgehog, he followed it.
The light led him along a winding path, past the sleepy cows and under the moonlit trees, until he found a cosy cottage with a warm glow coming from the window.
A kind family found Henry sitting outside. They knew straight away that he wasn’t an ordinary garden hedgehog and that he needed somewhere warm and safe. They made him a snug little bed, gave him his favourite food and promised to take very good care of him.
Henry decided that this was the perfect place for his next adventure.
He now spends his evenings exploring his new home, hiding in silly places and making his new family laugh. Every so often, he looks out at the moon and remembers all the children at Sandy Feet who loved him.
And although we miss him very much, we like to imagine Henry warm, safe, stretching out for as many belly rubs as he can possibly get...and still getting into just as much mischief as ever.

🚨 HENRY THE HEDGEHOG IS MISSING 🚨

Sometime between Saturday evening, shortly before or after we closed, and Sunday morning, Harry disappeared from his enclosure.

We know Henry cannot open his door—or close it behind him—so we are completely at a loss as to what may have happened.

If someone has taken Henry home, please, please bring him back. There will be no questions asked. Henry is an African pygmy hedgehog and has very specific care requirements.

The most important thing right now is heat. He cannot survive without being kept warm.

We are desperately worried about him. If you saw anything, know anything, or have Henry, please call us immediately on 086 158 5337.

Please share this post and help us get Henry safely home. 💔

🌾 Messy Play is coming to Sandy Feet Farm! 🌾

On Sunday, 9th August, will be joining us from 10am–1pm for a morning of scooping, pouring, digging, building and plenty of wonderfully messy sensory fun.

These activities are especially designed with little explorers aged 1–6 years in mind. Although everyone who loves a bit of messing is welcome to join in.

This is an additional activity included with general farm admission. All our usual farm activities will continue as normal, so families can enjoy the animals, tractor ride, playground, sensory garden and everything else the farm has to offer alongside the messy play session.

No separate booking is needed—just come along and join in. A change of clothes might be a very good idea… staying clean is definitely not the aim!

Bambi & Bluey have arrived at Sandy Feet Farm 🐐

Our two newest pygmy goat kids are just 12 weeks old and already have the place well inspected. Bambi is the little one with plenty to say, while Bluey is busy figuring out exactly where the best snacks might be found.

A lovely little pygmy goat fact: they are naturally very social and happiest with goat company — which is just as well, because these two are already great pals.

Come and meet them on your next trip to the farm.
