Animal Health Care Ballymote

Animal Health Care Ballymote A progressive, mixed, veterinary practice, based in Ballymote, Co. Sligo. Contact us on 0719183321 (24/7 365)

In 1941, Alfie Gallagher established the veterinary practice in Ballymote to provide a veterinary service to the people of south Sligo. Today, his son Frank and his wife Kate own and manage the practice where, together with a team of veterinary surgeons and office staff, they have developed and expanded the services available to the local farming community and small-animal owners. At Animal Health

Care, we operate a progressive mixed practice that cares for cattle, sheep, horses and other farm animals and pets. We provide a 24/7 emergency service for both our large-animal and companion-animal clients, so a veterinary surgeon is always on call. We also offer an out-of-hours prescription collection service to registered clients so that you will always have the medicine you need when an animal is sick.

๐Ÿ‘ Lambing Season Reminder โ€“ Keep Dogs Under Control ๐Ÿ•
As lambing season gets underway, Sligo County Council is reminding all dog owners of the importance of keeping dogs under control at all times. Sheep attacks can cause devastating and costly damage, especially now when ewes are heavy in lamb.

Remember, dogs of all sizes can worry or harm sheep โ€” itโ€™s not just large breeds.
โœ”๏ธ If a dog is identified in an attack, the owner is legally responsible for any losses.
โœ”๏ธ Sligo County Council will investigate all reported incidents and take appropriate action.
โœ”๏ธ The best prevention is simple: keep your dog secure and under control, always.
