Providing counselling for clients with issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, separation and relationship issues. Integrative Counselling approach in my practice; however, my core approach is person-centred which leads to psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral therapy as required. In addition I offer a Creative Therapeutic Counselling (CTC) model which is particularly beneficial for Chil

dren and Young people. As a counsellor we listen carefully to client’s thoughts and feelings. However, when working with children and young people they may not be able to identify or express themselves through words. Sometimes young people do not have the language or words to describe their thoughts and feelings. Through the therapeutic use of Art, play and the sand tray clients can work issues out and make sense of their troubles. The sand tray helps clients unearth their unconscious thoughts. Working with this medium allows clients to go beyond the cognitive level and work at gut level. Play & creativity become the language and the toys or artwork make up the words. This enables their voices to be heard in doing so clients feel empowered and valued. This allows clients to work through issues and make sense of their troubles. By engaging the imagination, we can help clients process and face their challenges in a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential environment.

Leading the line-up is Hannah Shields, the first woman from Northern Ireland to summit Mount Everest and the first Irish woman to ski to the North Magnetic Pole. Her story of determination, resilience and pushing beyond limits is truly inspiring and guaranteed to motivate anyone looking to challenge themselves and improve their mindset.

We are also delighted to welcome Catherine O’Keeffe, Ireland’s first menopause coach and founder of Warrior. Catherine is a highly respected speaker who has educated thousands of women and organisations about menopause, wellbeing and empowering women to take control of their health.

Joining them is Kathleen King, a passionate advocate for women’s health and endometriosis awareness. With a background as a medical scientist and over 25 years of advocacy work, Kathleen shares powerful insights and lived experience to help raise awareness and support for women’s health issues.

We’ll also hear from Shauna Conaghan,an experienced counsellor and equine therapist who uses innovative equine-assisted therapy to support emotional wellbeing, confidence and personal growth for both adults and young people.

Sorchas Healthy Living, a nutrition expert with a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition from UCD, will share her passion for healthy living and personalised nutrition, drawing from both her professional training and her own journey with chronic illness.

We also have representative from Donegal Domestic Violence services and Staff from PTSB.
