Hello, just had a man in with a puppy he found around lusk area. The puppy was male, roughly 12 weeks old, a Jack Russell Terrier, tri coloured. He was very friendly and I'd say a family is missing him this evening. Please share this post around your friends and I will try my best to get a photo of the puppy tomorrow. Also please note, I scanned the puppy for a microchip and he did not have one. If he had, had one the little man would be back with his family this evening without any problems. So this in mind can everyone please think about if your dog or cat is not microchipped, do it sooner rather than later. Thank you.

Hello everybody, happy Friday to you and your furry family members! We have seen a lot of adorable kittens and puppies in the last while and we've decided to give you a list of general health information regarding vet visits and what they need and when.
So starting with puppies!
Vaccinations at 8 weeks and 10 weeks.
Worming, every 2 weeks until they are 8 weeks old. Every month until they are 6 months old. Then every 3 months after that.
Flea and tick treatments, first treatment at 8-10 weeks then every 6-8 weeks after.
Microchipping, this can be done at any age, but because the needle is slightly bigger than a normal needle we advise to get this done at the 10 week vaccination.
Neutering, this routine procedure can be carried out once the dog is 6 months or older. Female dogs DO NOT have to go into heat before getting neutered, but if they do come into heat the surgical procedure can not be preformed until 3 WEEKS after she comes out of heat. This is because being in heat increases the risk of this already routine procedure.

Next, kittens, the information is almost the same for kittens as it is for puppies.
Vaccinations, 8 weeks and 10 or 11 weeks.
Worming, every 2 weeks from 6 weeks to 4 months, then every 3 months.
Flea treatment, from 8 weeks treat every 2 months.
Microchipping, this is the same as a puppy, we advise at the second vaccination at 10 or 11 weeks.
Neutering, this routine procedure can be carried out once the kitten is 6 months or older.

For more information on any of these procedures or if you think I left anything out, please contact one of the clinics or message us here!
Thank you, and have a safe bank holiday weekend!
