Our Story

Pets.ie is a family run business based in Arklow, County Wicklow. From here, we deliver to all over Ireland.

We grew up in homes surrounded by pets of all shapes and sizes. Our wealth of experience allows us to understand pets and their owner’s needs. This love of pets has carried with us and through to our own young family. We now have 3 dogs, 6 cats, 2 bunnies, 23 fish, 3 chickens and 2 ducks. We even have an African Grey Parrot called Bella who hardly ever stops talking. All these pets are part of our family, we would not have it any other way.

Our pets are the inspiration for our business. For example, when we decided to keep some chickens, we need to figure out what coop and equipment we needed. The information and choices available for a nice hen house at a decent price did not exist in Ireland. This led us to our first business, FarmFowl, when we decided to fulfil that need. That was in 2010 and started as something very small. Today, we help people get started with keeping chickens all over Ireland. We continue to provide our customers with ongoing advice and supplies as needed.

Later, our children decided they wanted to keep some pet rabbits. We encountered a similar issue when it came to finding a nice rabbit hutch. We wanted a hutch that would keep their bunnies safe but still look pretty in our garden. This is when we set up our second business called Rabbits.ie. Over the years, we have helped many people save money and time searching for all the products they needed. We decided to provide them in one place.
