Will you groom my dog? Yes absolutely...but what does that entail? Most people think a cut is always involved..it is not! Double coated dogs do not need to have their top coat trimmed no matter how warm it is outside! It's the biggest misconception. Double coated dog examples: german shepherd, golden retrievers, labradors, and some short haired cross breeds like a king charles X! Riley (a king charles X) came in today. Her hair is coming out in clumps, "can you cut her hair?", NO 🤣 but I can do a deep deshed and get rid of that hair all over your home!! The first video shows before the wash the undercoat hair coming out with the help of an eqigroomer, the second video shows after the wash and dry still some hair needs to come out! But the coat is revitalised and fresh! Riley also had her nails trimmed, her ears and eyes cleaned. A sprit of cologne and a cute bandana. 🥰😍

Hi my lovelies!! Can you please donate any amount to this beautiful sanctuary located just outside ardfert! (Link under this post for donations) They are good, kind people dedicated to looking after animals in need. They have had a hard few weeks with losing some of their animals and their beloved cat harry has been in the vets a lot over the last few weeks. (But is thankfully on the mend). Please read this information sheet on shaving a double coated dog, IT DOES NOT STOP SHEDDING! Be informed and understand why a groomer has to prioritise the dogs well being over vanity.

Things you should know before you bring your dog to CA'S PET Grooming Service.

1. If you have a morning appointment, make sure your dog dosent eat prior to the groom, if you have an afternoon appointment, try to give a light meal, a nervous dog unfortunately can have accidents.
2. Make sure your dog does his/her toileting prior to coming in.
3. Make the drop off as stress free as possible. Drop the dog off and walk away, as if it's no big deal. If the owner is nervous/stressed the dog will react to this.
4. Make sure to collect your dog within 15 mins of the collection message being sent. I am a 1 to 1 groomer, so 10euro will be applied if you go over the 15 minute collection time, unfortunately I am not able to board dogs and other dogs in can be reactive and cause stress.
5. If you are on a regular schedule please make sure to book in for your next appointment for you leave.
