True love is a rescued pet šŸ¤šŸ¾

At Gaia, so many of our dogs have faced things they never should haveā€¦ abandoned, neglected, dumped on the streets, scared, hungry and unsure if humans could ever be trusted again.

Then comes rescue.
Then healing.
Then learning what safety feels like.
A soft bed. A full belly. A hand reaching out with kindness.

Watching them transform is one of the greatest privileges. Seeing tails wag again. Confidence grow. Personalities shine. Hope return.

But their journey isnā€™t complete yet.

Our biggest wish for every single dog at Gaia is a forever home. A family. Someone to choose them for life.

Freckles was living in front of a supermarket. He used to sleep inside during the day and customers loved him as he was so calm and affectionate and he became a regular on Tik Tok until I was contacted that he had been hit by a bike. Heā€™s been recovering at our vets and is in full health again but we have discovered why he was so chilled. He is deaf. Once I found out about this we decided itā€™s too dangerous for him to go back. He is one of a kind. He sits on your lap in the car and will sleep. Nothing fazes him.
He just soaks up the love. Heā€™s now been vaccinated and sterilised and looking for a home. If youā€™re interested in adopting him please message me.

Luke has been on quite the adventure šŸ’”āž”ļøā¤ļø

Found dumped alone on the streets as just a young pupā€¦ a pedigree puppy left to fend for himself. Skinny, vulnerable and trying to survive in a world he was never meant to navigate alone.

But truthfully? No dog belongs abandoned on the streets.

And weā€™re seeing more and more of it ā€” people buying dogs, then dumping them when they become inconvenient. We do NOT need more breeding. We need more adopting. There are already so many incredible dogs waiting for a second chance.

Luke was one of the lucky ones.

Thanks to quick-thinking rescuers, he survived. And in just 4 weeks heā€™s gone from 7kg to 11kg šŸ„¹ gaining strength, trust and a little more sparkle in his eyes every day.

Weā€™re now waiting for his vaccinations and sterilisation as his health continues to improve. Yayyyyy! šŸŽ‰

Luke already has his forever home lined up šŸ˜­ā¤ļø
