As a final step before translocation process tomorrow to Cikananga Wildlife Center we completed vitamin injections, ring fittings, and health checks for 12 black-winged starlings (4 pairs + 4 individuals).

After more than six years of waiting, weโ€™re grateful to support their care and to have finally reached this point.

From rehabilitation to soaring free! On February 25, 2025, we released 3 Black Eagles back into the wild at Maua Hotel, Desa Sakti, Nusa Penida. Two of these birds were translocated from the Kamojang Conservation Center, West Java after one year of rehabilitation and two months at PPS Bali, the other one was confiscated by the Bali BKSDA and rehabilitated at BWRC for 1.5 years.

Special thanks to Human World for Animal, MAUA Hotel Nusa Penida, BKSDA Bali, Kamojang Eagle Rehabilitation Center, PMGY, local stakeholders and the communities in Nusa Penida, for the invaluable contributions in making this wildlife release a succeed. United in conservation, we have opened the skies for these Black Eagles, allowing them to fly free once again. ๐Ÿฆ…โœจ
