Poor Mamaseni just came home covered in glue. Plus she was dragging tons of dry leaves and rubbish stuck on the glue. Most likely she'd had an incident with some fly paper. Damn those glue papers!

But a quick magic trick to deal with is: cooking oil. Rub just any basic cooking oil to the glue covered fur and the glue dissolves. If you don't have oil, butter will do. Then wash the cat with shampoo or whatever soap you have at hand to get rid of the oil.

Mamaseni took the oil and soap treatment without any protesting. She's such a sweet girl.

Meow! Long time no updates!

Our GrumpyOldCatlady was on a much needed holiday, far far away from our little island. Holiday meant no cat action whatsoever, no kitty-social-media and staying totally away from all emails and messages too.

She's back now so you'll be seeing cat updates coming regularly again! Meow to that!

Just give her a few days to get up to date and get all boring stuff, such as accounting and report writing, done.

Our shop is open as usual so pop in for a visit if you're in Gili Trawangan!

Meow! Meet our Cat Shop Boys duo Evan and Doni! They will be in charge of our charity shop and our kitties while GrumpyOldCatlady is on holiday.

Many of you have met Doni when he's been helping in cat catching during our cat clinics. And everyone who lives in GiliT knows Evan, who's been growing up here since he was born.

A few things:
- cat shop will be open as usual: 11am-4pm, closed of Wednesdays and Sundays
- our social media and message handling will be on holiday too. Need something? Go visit the cat shop. Need info? Read the FAQ on our website.
- no WhatsApp -orders in July. GrumpyOldCatlady is on holiday and will not even touch messages related to buying stuff from cat shop. Just hop on your bicycle and go visit the Cat Shop Boys.
- please don't bring us more animals during July. We're full.
- GrumpyOldCatlady will be back August 1st.

Sweet Mia is back. She's lost her balance again and is very confused and shaky. She had the same issue back in March.

She's back on medication now. Luckily her appetite is still goof, and there is clear will to live so hopefully she'll get well soon.

Send some good vibes for Mia!

Meow meow! All is well at our Meowquarters, we've just been insanely busy and haven't had much time for posting.

Some info here:
- we've closed our cafe for now. It was impossible to keep going without staff. We know people love cat cafes and having one would be a gold mine, but serving coffee and other drinks to tourists is not on top of our priority list. Cats are. We are an animal welfare project and a charity, not a moneymoney-bizniz. But never say never... Who knows, we may re-open the cafe again at some point.
- we've updated our outside decorations, pop in to have a look and take photos. Don't forget to tag us!
- our exhausted GrumpyOldCatlady will go for a much MUCH needed holiday in July, but don't worry, our shop will stay open
- Flea Market is also open, there's loads of new pre-loved clothes, come have a look!

Oh meow goodness, I was supposed to make this post weeks ago but simply forgot. But here it is:

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We received this generous donation of much needed medicines last month. Antibiotics, ear cleaners, wound cleaners, milk formula, feeding bottles, etc etc etc. Opening the box was like Christmas, but better!

Warm loud purrs to vet Heidi for the donation. Also big thank yous to our friend Mr. Tomi in Bali who went to pick up the donation box from the airport, and later delivered it to our friend Mr. Robert, who then brought it over from Bali to us. Thank you! ❤️

Meow! Look at Mike White!

Yes, he still looks rough but nothing compared to how he was when he arrived. His skin was badly infected, his neck was just raw rashy itchy horror, and he had bleeding sores in several spots in his body.

Been rough times trying to get him healing, but now things are looking good and every day his skin looks better.

He's full of energy, to the point of being a major pain in the arse, but cannot help but love him. Such a funny little fluffy boy he is, Mike White. ❤️

Been both sad and happy morning.

One of the tiny newborn kittens stopped eating last night, and went over to the Greener Fields early this morning. 😢

So sad, and no matter how much you try to prepare yourself, knowing how hard it is for newborn babies without mommycats to survive, it still breaks your heart. Every damn time.

After having a little funeral, I went for my morning run around the island. I was almost done and started to head home, when the sad morning turned into a happy one. I spotted a familiar face near the island lighthouse. Holy meow, it's my Pate!

Pate has not been seen at his football field homehoods for about 2 weeks. I didn't worry too much, he sometimes went for walks, but now he was gone so long I thought he propably took a walk too far and forgot where home is. And that seems to be what happened, he was pretty damn far from home, for a cat.

Was so happy to see him. He came running when I called his name, I picked him up and carried him back home. Hope he's done wandering for a while now.

Mommycat and her 3 kids arrived last week, and they've settled in really well. Our shop is back to kitten chaos now that they are running free 😁

They all are doing great, except they've been vomiting and pooping out worms A LOT. That sometimes happens after you give a dewormer. Hope the worst is over now. GrumpyOldCatlady is not the biggest fan of cleaning up wormy poops. 🤢
