TNR STRAY CAT 2024 :: NIA
(released January 2025)

🐈‍⬛

After few weeks trying to catch Nia, our team finally able to be caught her from the street to be spayed end of 2024.

Nia has lost some teeth which vet said due fighting on the street. She also has two broken fangs and one of her fangs was having infection 😢. But the vet who was in charge to spay Nia at Bali Central Vet in Kedampang helped us cleaning it too.

Nia has been released back early 2025 to the street where she lives. She’s having a good live even as a stray cat.

We are super thankful for The Odd Cat Bali for sponsoring Nia’s sterilisation and hospitalisation in December 2024. And thankful for the great work from Central Vet in Kedampang-Kerobokan as well.

No more unwanted kittens on the street. Yay!!

TNR BALI STRAY CAT 2025 :: BRENDA / GLENDA

🐈‍⬛

Brenda aka Glenda is of stray cats our senior sitter and street feeder has fed daily since 2022. Now Julian and the lady landlord also help us feed her daily.

She lives on the roof of some houses. Sometimes she sleeps in the family temple, the storage room of landlord’s house next door, or on the wall next to our friend’s boarding room.

Because Julian is out of town, Jeannie came to pick up Brenda on Friday, January 17th, 2025 on early evening and took her to Sunset Vet Kuta. Due she also had a wound on her leg, she stayed longer for hospitalisation for two weeks.

HUGE THANKS to Miss Nadia for sponsoring Brenda’s sterilization and hospitalisation, and vet Novita, vet Flora, and all vets, nurses and vet clinic team from Sunset Vet Bali in Kuta for their amazing works with Brenda.

She has been returned back to the street where she lives and we continue to feed her daily and provide dry foods so lady landlord can feed her too when our stray feeders are away.

She also has been vaccinated and got delfea injection from Sunset Vet. We also have dewormed her due her regular deworming schedule due in the end of January 2025.

Thank you for the great support of Miss Nadia for stray cats under our wings.

STRAY CAT : MONA

🐈‍⬛

Here’s Mona, a young female bicolor domestic cat.

She is of new stray cats which we cannot say no to be added under our wings since January 2025.

We may not post stories daily when feeding her but we have been feeding her daily since January 29th and will continue to do so.

She’s very friendly.

Adoptable.

Needs to be fixed ASAP (to be dewormed, deflead, spayed, and vaccinated).

If Mona touches your heart and you’d like to virtually adopt her, please reach us through DM. You can sponsor some of her monthly foods or some of her health cares.

Has anyone taking a black female cat from Circle K accross Bali Kiddy in Tangkuban Perahu-Kerobokan last week?

One of our stray cats has gone missing and last time our street feeder team fed her was on Dec 22nd evening.

We just sterilised her and just released her back to the street. She never went too far and always stayed around Alfamart or CK only.

We don’t mind if she’s adopted. But no one tells the staff and we’ve been searching for her since the 23rd. We want to update about her current medications to anyone who has taken her.

Please let us know if you know/see anything. 🙏🏻

About us, what we don’t do, and what we cannot do for you.

🐕🐈

It’s about time to renew our 2022’s post about what we do and what we don’t do, since we still get so many DMs daily asking for us to rescue newly dumped animals or take over people’s rescued animals.

As much as we love animals in Bali and we wish we can help all animals, but we have a very limited human, fund and facilities resources. So, without trying to be disrespectful or selfish, we would like to reinform again about what we do and what we cannot do.

We hope people can understand that we are not a rescue organization or group, that’s why we cannot help to rescue or take over your rescued animals.

And even so many times we also need people’s helps and supports when we are facing certain conditions where stray cats under our wings need urgent helps or we are dealing with newly dumped animals on our daily feeding spots. 🙏🏻

We got a report yesterday evening (Nov 20th) if there’s a kitten newly dumped near our regular feeding spots in Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali.

Angelia and Julian, two of our volunteers went to check but they didn’t find him anywhere. Few hours later our team went back and even talked with Alfamart staffs and they said usually he sleeps near water gallons but that night we didn’t find him. They told our team if he’s been there since the 19th.

In the morning alfamart staff informed our volunteer if he’s back. They shared some foods (and some strangers who bought at that store too). Tonight we went to feed him and gave him worm tablet.

As we aren’t a rescue organization and we don’t have any shelter, we can’t bring him home.

The last 6 months we have taken 15 dumped kittens from the same area because they were almost hit by vehicles and we have them under 2 foster carers where we fully support all of their foods and health cares one foster carer has 1 Mama cat and 11 kittens and another one has 4 kittens. And we really can’t add one to any of them especially after one foster carer has been warned by his landlord for having so many kittens.

If you want to help us foster him or even rescue him, please DM us.

If you want to help us by sponsoring his vet check up, vaccinations and even sterilization, please DM us as well.

Atm what we can do for this boy is checking him regularly on the street and make sure he’s fed daily.

CEMONG & PUTRI

🐈‍⬛ 🐈

Meet Cemong & Putri!

Cemong is the white & black one.
Putri is the calico one.

Our senior street feeder has been feeding Cemong since 2022 and Putri since she’s started eating on the he street.

A kind lady whose also feeds them daily has sterilised them (our team is in contact with her regarding daily feeding as we will back each other up if one is sick and can’t feed them).

Recently we’ve given Cemong & Putri :
✅updated vaccination (Oct 10)
✅updated dewormed (Oct 20)
✅updated deflead (Nov 1)

They usually hang out in front of a convenient store and our team has communicated with most of the staffs about Cemong & Putri (so they know they are well taken care of and let them hang out there).

CEMONG & PUTRI

🐈‍⬛ 🐈

Meet Cemong & Putri 😃

Our senior sitter who’s also senior street feeder, Jeanie, has been feeding some feline groups in this spot since the first month the convenience store has operated few years ago. Now only one feline group that’s still surviving the stray life there. Cemong & Putri are two of stray cats in that group.

Jeanie fed Cemong (black & white) since 2022 and Putri (calico) since she was able to eat by herself on the street (Putri is one of Cemong’s kids).

Beside our senior street feeder, there’s also an Indonesian lady independently feeds Cemong & Putri daily & care about their health too (she’s the one who TNR-ed them and our team is in contact with her). Unfortunately she never meets the other cats (that’s why we don’t mind with multiple feeders in one spot as long as there’s a good coordination among all multiple feeders, because sometimes some cats don’t come when another feeder comes).

Beside have been sterilised, both of them have been :
✅vaccinated (updated on Oct 10)
✅deworm (updated on Oct 20)
✅deflea (updated on Nov 1)

We may share more about other cats from Cemong’s clan later, but here are some pictures of Cemong & Putri.

Aren’t they so cute 😃

This is JONI recently..

After we posted on our instagram, threads and on some bali dog groups on facebook, no one gave us any information if they knew him or his previous owner and no one claimed him.

He has been given a collar by the kind family whose let him sleep in front of their veranda and feeding him. They also gave him a bath recently.

And after his skin medications prescribed by the vet were finished, he’s no longer having bad issues nor contagious (our senior dog sitter Jeanie and one of our admins Tia got terribly itchy every time after pat him).

Until November 11th, our senior dog sitter (Jeanie) checked on him regularly early morning and early evening during her dog walking with our dog boss Louise and brought him treats.

After that we are helped by a kind lady whose also feeds some stray dogs few blocks from Joni’s spot to check on him daily.

We are thankful for kind people who’ve helped Joni through us and for the kind family whose looking after him too daily. We wouldn’t be able to help Joni alone without them. ❤️
