Our first EO ever! 💖

It was our very first time qualifying for the European Open – and honestly, just making the team was already a huge joy!

Friday was all about "arriving" and settling in. I got a bit nervous during the team runs – thankfully, that didn’t show on Zeke’s performance – but we did get two disqualifications. The first run was more of a “crawl to the finish” 😅, and the second course was just extremely tough. (In a weird way, it was comforting to see that even some of the top teams also had 2/4 disqualifications.)
We finally managed to get an A3 result in our very last team run.

On Saturday, we had an individual jumping course, which we finished with just one refusal – and it actually felt solid and smooth! 😍

Saturday’s late-night agility run was my absolute favourite – one bar down, but otherwise such a great feeling 😍😍😍
And then came the unexpected news: I was going to the finals with Zeke! 😱 I couldn’t believe it. Such an honour, truly 🥹😭🇭🇺

By Sunday we were both a bit tired, but we gave it everything we had 💪🏻
And it paid off – we finished the finals run with one missed contact and one bar, placing 35th in the EO finals! 🥹💖

The bar has been set high – even if Portugal felt really far away 😮‍💨 – but this EO will stay in my heart forever. As we agreed:
This was the best EO ever! 🥰

🇭🇺🥳Zeke qualified for the EO 2025!🥳🇭🇺
This means even more to us because since January last year, we haven’t been able to train regularly. Both of our fitness levels are pretty terrible, and we don’t have much competition routine together either — but this little dog works with so much heart and soul that we made it happen. ❤️‍🩹

Zeke celebrated his birthday with his sisters at the first round of the Agility World Championship and EO qualifier, and in quite a spectacular way:
A 12th place with just one fault in agility and a FAULTLESS 4th place 😱😍🥰
Although I was a bit disappointed to miss the podium by just 0.2 seconds, they comforted me by saying we don’t train that much, and that my dog is just barely in the midi category.
