Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation A shelter in Sai Kung providing more than 𝘢 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 to over 200 dogs whilst they wait for adoption. One of them could be perfect for you.

Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation (SKSFF) is a Hong Kong Charity, which was founded in 2014 by Narelle Pamuk. A non-profit organisation that is supported by a group of volunteers and relies heavily on donations from the public and the local community. SKSFF rescue stray, abandoned, sick and injured dogs to provide them with medical care and rehabilitation. Every dog that is rescued is health check

ed, de-sexed, vaccinated and given flea, tick and heartworm prevention. We also try to provide any necessary treatment and emergency surgery that may be needed. Our aim is to find these beautiful dogs, a kind and responsible adopter which can give them a loving forever home and help them have a better life. If you haven't experienced the joy of adopting a dog, now is the right time! We currently have approx 200 dogs at our Sai Kung kennel, they are all waiting for their forever homes. Outside of our kennel, our meals-on-wheels program delivers food and clean water to street dogs 365 days a year. We have a small group of volunteers who personally deliver food and water to the street dogs and make sure they have shelter and warmth. We also desex, microchip and rabies vaccinate the dogs, who live happily in harmony with the local villages. Please help us improve the lives of dogs:

ADOPTED - SUNFLOWER Now PENNY👏🏻👏🏻
This absolutely adorable young girl was so blessed!
She originated from a HK Border site where all the dogs were poisoned CNY.
Penny had a wound on her side and we brought her back with us and she was taken to the clinic and stayed on at the shelter for wound treatment. The wound saved her life🙏🏼not being at the site.

Kennel staff, Border and shelter volunteers all loved "Sunflower" she is such a beautiful happy girl.

HOT ‼️ HUSKY SURRENDER
Husky kept on a chain, with water and very basic shelter cover escaped. He was wandering close to our shelter and a volunteer secured him.

SKSFF made contact with the owner and returned him.

The owner said the Husky was given to him as a gift and he had no time to take care of him and agreed to surrender as soon as we transferred him into my name.

With the fast co-operation of AFCD Kowloon this was done in a day with owner signing and returning Change of Keeper.

Early last evening 6.30 the Husky was unchained, handed over, so excited and happy.

He had a walk on leash before jumping into our Rescue Van to a better life.

He liked the menu in our shelter and a fan!

MIKO, I often get overlooked for my extrovert kennel mate Sweet Potato😢 I’m a little shy but once I get to know you I love cuddles and strokes and enjoy exploring the trails where I’ll stay close to you and always check back to make sure you are nearby.

KIND HEARTS OF COMPASSION
Family Needs Help‼️
The feeder and caring people have reached out to SKSFF and other NGO's appealing for help to rescue this family who are living on a hillside.

Tuesday 2nd June
SKSFF captured 2 pups by trapcage. They have been to Village Vets for medical check, 1st vaccination, microchip, deworming medication and Bravecto preventative.
The pups are approx 3.5 months.
They are for adoption.

Yesterday Thursday 4th June trapping resumed.

The feeder has a very good bond with Mummy and she and pup come to her call.

Mummy and pup repeatedly circled around the trapcages almost entering but didn't go inside despite the inviting char sui, fish, pig head and pork belly.

Mummy is young and she does want to be rescued.

Its so hot and exhausting
carrying trapcages, setting up and waiting patiently for hours.. .
We dismantled at 8.15pm.

Our mission will continue.

HEATSTROKE LOK LOK- UPDATE
Yesterday we took Lok Lok to Village Vets to check if he had any underlying health issues to have caused his collapse.

The blood tests were all normal thankfully. He is a healthy dog.

The Vet said he overheated from excessive heat of the day. He advised to avoid dog walking
during very hot weather preferably late afternoon when temperature has dropped.

10 fans were bought and fitted in kennel rooms yesterday and we can order another 30.

Truly grateful Narelle & Kathy.
Its been so very hot even for ourselves and kennel volunteers. We are running hoses in some of the outer enclosures to cool down the concrete which retains the heat.

ITS SO HOT!!
Yesterday shelter dog Lok Lok collapsed, frothing at the mouth following an afternoon walk.

Temperatures are just too high to walk dogs during days of very hot weather.

Our shelter rooms have fans and most outer enclosures but some do not and we are getting outdoor electrical sockets fitted.

We have done the tedious task of cleaning fans so they can perform free of dust.

There are also fans that need replacing.

We purchase fans $500 from Sai kung "Harrods" and have ordered 15.

Two tiny pups were rescued in February and went directly into foster together.
They are both gorgeous now aged almost 5 months.

Cora and her brother siblings Ned & Yanni were rescues from HK China Border. They have the sweetest nature.

Cora is such a gorgeous young girl, so affectionate and it is just wonderful for her to leave the shelter and join a family.

URGENT SITUATION‼️
Dog Cherry needs a Foster Home

This is the post by her owner.
We had to move unfortunately from Hong Kong for a while due some emergency and come back to France.

We have our lovely dog , female, Cherry , she is mix dog of 11 years old , very quiet and calm , only looking for some affection, very clean and tidy.

We are looking for someone or a family to look after her at least for 6 months first until we find our new place to live.

We would really appreciate your help and support, we don’t want to abandoned her but can’t take her right away with us at the moment.

I have been in message conversation with owner.
Cherry is in Temporary stay in Stanley but this person can’t take care of her starting from next week. Owner will cover the food cost and if needed any vet expenses. They will need atleast 3 months foster for Cherry and arrangements will be made for her to fly to France.
