In order to enhance the awareness of foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) on their employment rights, the Labour Department (LD) will conduct an online briefing for FDHs on 23 March 2025 (Sunday). LD has also invited a representative from the Hong Kong Police Force to give our participants an anti-money laundering talk providing information on anti-money laundering and fraudsters’ practices and advice on how to protect personal bank accounts. The briefing will be conducted in Bahasa Indonesia and Tagalog. Details of the briefing are as follows:

The Government announced today (September 27) that the Minimum Allowable Wage (MAW) for foreign domestic helpers (FDHs) in Hong Kong will be increased by 2.5 per cent, from $4,870 to $4,990 per month.

The food allowance will remain unchanged at not less than $1,236 per month.

The new level of MAW will apply to FDH contracts signed on or after tomorrow (September 28).

FDH contracts signed today or before at the existing MAW of $4,870 per month will still be processed by the Immigration Department provided that the applications reach the Department on or before October 25 (Friday).

We currently have an employer in Kowloon looking to hire a domestic helper driver. Both Finished Contract drivers and overseas Ex-HK drivers will be considered. Starting salary will depend on visa status and experience. For local Finished Contract drivers with long experience, salary above $19,000 per month will be considered, but less for overseas applicants.
Main duty would be to drive the child to and from school and after school activites daily, as well as car washing. Weekly rest day offered is every Sunday.
