疥癬蟲（Trixacarus caviae）是一種寄生在皮膚表層的微小蟎蟲，會引起劇烈搔癢和皮膚問題。這些小壞蛋會鑽入皮膚，導致天竺鼠非常不舒服！😣
Mange mites (Trixacarus caviae) are tiny parasites that burrow under the skin, causing intense itching and skin issues. These little troublemakers make guinea pigs super uncomfortable!

Lily’s Story 🐰💛
Lily, a 3-month-old lop rabbit, had just been adopted when her new family noticed something wasn’t right — she was quiet, drinking lots of water, and not playful.

On examination, Lily was slightly underweight and had pain in the front part of her abdomen.
🔬 F***l exam revealed coccidia, and blood work showed elevated liver enzymes.
An abdominal ultrasound, CT scan, and liver cytology confirmed the diagnosis: coccidial cholangitis, a liver infection caused by this parasite.

Further investigations — including abdominal ultrasound, CT scan, and liver cytology — confirmed the diagnosis: coccidial cholangitis, a liver infection caused by Eimeria stiedae (the same parasite found in the f***s).

💊 With prompt treatment and careful monitoring, Lily made a full recovery!
Follow-up ultrasounds showed her liver completely healed — and today she’s back to her energetic, curious self.

💡 Bunny tip: Coccidia are common in young rabbits, especially after stress (like rehoming). Routine f***l checks for new pets can catch problems early!

Lily 係一隻三個月大嘅垂耳兔。啱啱比新主人領養返屋企之後，佢哋發現情況唔太對 —— 佢好安靜，飲好多水，亦唔太活潑。

檢查時發現 Lily 稍為偏瘦，而且上腹部有痛。
🔬 糞便檢查發現有球蟲 (coccidia)，血液檢查顯示肝酵素升高。
腹部超聲波、電腦掃描 (CT) 同肝臟細胞學檢查確認診斷為球蟲性膽管炎 (coccidial cholangitis)，即由呢種寄生蟲引起嘅肝臟感染。

🔬 糞便測試發現有球蟲，血液檢查顯示肝酵素升高。
進一步檢查 —— 包括腹部超聲波、CT 掃描同肝臟細胞學 —— 確認診斷為球蟲性膽管炎，由 Eimeria stiedae 引起（呢隻寄生蟲亦喺糞便中發現）。

💊 經過及時治療同細心監察，Lily 完全康復！
後續超聲波檢查顯示佢嘅肝臟已經完全痊癒 —— 而家又變返精靈又好奇嘅自己。

🐢 Grace’s journey back to health! 🐢

Grace, a 35-year-old Red-eared slider, came to us with swollen eyes and no appetite. We found a severe mouth infection with pus and plaques.

🧪 Blood tests confirmed infection, and cytology of the mouth showed lots of inflammatory cells with bacteria.
💉 We started antibiotics, daily mouth cleaning, and force feeding (yes — reptiles need food support too!).

🌟 After one month of treatment, her mouth healed, her blood was back to normal, and she’s finally eating again!

💡 Turtle tip: reptiles often hide illness until it’s advanced. They need proper UVB + heat lamps, and if they stop eating, assisted feeding and vet care are essential for recovery.

✨ Oreo’s fight for life! ✨

Oreo, an 11-month-old lop rabbit, came to us very weak — not eating, very quiet, and with tiny poops. Blood tests showed anemia of 22% and high liver enzymes, ultrasound found fluid and an abnormal liver lobe, and X-rays showed a bloated stomach with foreign material.

Overnight Oreo’s blood dropped dangerously low (11%), so we gave him a life-saving transfusion from his bunny friend 💉.

🔎 In surgery we found:
👉 A twisted liver lobe (likely worsened by the swollen stomach pressing on it)
👉 A necrosis in the esophagus-stomach junction
👉 A stomach blockage caused by chewed-up p*e pad pieces 🐰🧻

We removed the damaged lobe and the stomach blockage. After several days of intensive care, Oreo went home stronger, with his blood levels improving every day.

💡 Bunny tip: keep chewable items like p*e pads, fabrics, or rubber well out of reach — they can cause life-threatening blockages.

We’re so proud of Oreo’s recovery 💕🐇

✨ Oreo，為生命而戰！ ✨

Oreo，一隻11個月大的垂耳兔，來到我們這裡時非常虛弱──不吃東西，非常安靜，而且排便稀少。血液檢查顯示他貧血22%，肝臟酵素升高，超音波檢查發現積液和肝葉異常，X光檢查顯示他的胃部腫脹，有異物。

一夜之間，Oreo的血氧飽和度降至危險的低水平（11%），所以給Oreo輸了救命的血，輸血來自Oreo的兔子朋友💉。

🔎 手術中發現：
👉 肝葉扭曲（可能是由於腫脹的胃壓迫導致病情惡化）
👉 食道胃交界處壞死
👉 因咀嚼尿墊/掃把碎片導致的胃堵塞🐰🧻

進行手術切除了受損的肝葉和胃堵塞物。經過幾天的重症監護，Oreo回家時情況更加好轉，血液水平每天都在改善。

💡 兔子小貼士：將尿墊、布料或橡膠等可咀嚼物品放在兔子接觸不到的地方－它們可能會造成危及生命的阻塞。
