Dr. Matthew recently visited to provide wellness care for more than 20 dogs. 🐶❤️

Homevet has been helping look after the dogs at this shelter since 2016, offering housecall veterinary visits, vaccines, and medications at discounted rates to help keep the dogs healthy and protected. Watching the same group of dogs grow older over the years has been really special.

The dogs there are a really lovely group - calm, well cared for, and very loved. The shelter is clean, well run, and the volunteers do an amazing job looking after them.

Dr. Matthew’s family has just grown by eight tiny paws. 🥰✨

These two gorgeous puppies have officially joined the family, and we already know they’re going to bring plenty of cuddles, chaos, muddy paws, and love.

We can’t wait to watch them grow, thrive, and settle into their new home.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗰𝗶 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗮𝘂𝘇𝗲𝗿! 🐾

earlier this year, our nurse Fing was at the housecall with us when we did an export health certificate visit for lovely Boci, who was preparing for travel to Australia.

As part of the export vet check, Boci needed a deworming treatment for internal parasites — one of the required steps for travel to Australia.

And yes, some of our patients really do take their tablets straight from the hand like this! 😊 We always prefer to try the calm, gentle approach first before forcing anything, and Boci was a great little patient.

This adorable neighbour’s dog was very curious about our arrival, giving us the perfect “neighbourhood watch” stare.
The expression says it all:
“Excuse me… who are you, why are you here, and do you happen to have snacks?”

House calls are all about making veterinary care as calm and stress-free as possible for your pets, so seeing curious little onlookers like this just reminds us how important it is to create a relaxed and comfortable experience for everyone involved 💖

He started as a foster, but his mom loved him so much she decided to adopt him for good!

During our recent housecall, he showed off his perfect sitting skills for Dr. Matthew. Such a polite gentleman definitely deserved a tasty reward! 🦴✨

We love seeing our patients living their best lives in their forever homes. Congrats to this lucky mum! ❤️

Caught this handsome Sai Kung village local supervising us on the way to a recent veterinary housecall. 😸🏡

One of the things we love most about housecalls is seeing pets in their own environment — relaxed, curious, and very much in charge of the situation. It often makes examinations calmer, gentler, and a lot less stressful for everyone involved.

And sometimes… you meet the neighbourhood welcoming committee along the way. 🧡

A couple of weeks ago was an emotional final HK home visit with sweet little Juju and FarnShu - before they emigrated to begin their new life in Australia 🇦🇺✨

Juju had her usual cheerful smile, while FarnShu stayed close and curious throughout the check-up. Both babies completed their final health examination smoothly 🩺🐾

As a home veterinary team, moments like this are always bittersweet. We feel honoured to be part of their family’s important milestone — helping them travel safely and comfortably to their new home overseas. But also sad to see them go!

Wishing Juju and FarnShu an easy settling-in period, and many happy adventures ahead in Australia ❤️🏡✈️
