In fact, more than half of dental problems in cats occur below the gum line.

Common Dental Diseases in Cats:
1️⃣ Periodontal Disease: Frequently seen in adult cats. Symptoms include inflamed gums, redness, swelling, and tartar buildup. It’s closely linked to daily oral hygiene. 🦷
2️⃣ Gingivitis: Inflammation of the gums surrounding the teeth, causing redness and bleeding.

【個案分享の膿胸引流術】

📌 膿胸係貓胸腔積聚膿液，會導致呼吸困難、胃口差等問題。
今次同大家分享成功治療膿胸嘅案例😺

發現問題：
Luna係一隻5歲8個月嘅瘦小貓女。上年11月中，主人發現佢精神欠佳，經常匿喺砂盤，所以帶佢求診。

🔎 第一間診所初步診斷：超聲波發現膀胱有晶石，開膀胱藥但無改善。
🏥 轉診第二間診所檢查：懷疑腸胃炎或FIP，但藥物調整後情況仍惡化，並出現呼吸困難。

治療過程：
🐱🏥 再轉診嚟到我哋醫院時，Luna已經胃口差近一星期，且呼吸急促。我哋即時安排：
1️⃣ 使用氧氣箱穩定情況
2️⃣ 超聲波檢查發現胸腔積液，抽取積液，令呼吸暢順，再送化驗以排查FIP或膿胸
3️⃣ 確認非FIP後，確診係胸腔積膿🧪隨後放置胸腔導管，並每日沖洗胸腔

術後情況：
經過近一星期嘅緊密護理👩🏻‍⚕️🧑🏻‍⚕️Luna順利出院！精神胃口亦都好返好多😻　體重由3.6kg增至4.2kg，恢復健康！

膿胸問題如唔及時治療，可能危及生命💉當貓貓出現呼吸困難或精神不振，應即刻求診，並選擇專業團隊進行治療！
