Another wonderful transformation on a West Highland White Terrier! Let’s talk about what it takes to groom a “Westie”!

His coat was carefully handstripped to maintain the qualities of the terrier hair. Handstripping is a very special technique used in certain breeds of dogs, where the hair is not clipped or scissored but rather hand pulled! This technique ensures that the coat will remain harsh and shiny which translates to weather and water resistant!!

Other than the handstripping, the grooming of a Westie utilizes many different sc******ng and styling techniques, which is why it’s such a demanding haircut, but also one of our favorites!

One of the most rewarding part of our job is meeting a new dog and providing them with a truly transformational haircut....
