Ready to build a structured, reliable detection dog?

This workshop is designed for both new and experienced detection teams. We will cover:

• A clear progression plan for odor detection canines
• Passive indication / Trained Final Response strategies
• Introduction to systematic search
• Troubleshooting for experienced teams

The seminar blends theory and practical training, giving you a step-by-step framework you can immediately apply.

Dogs of all levels (8+ weeks) are welcome, provided they are healthy, motivated (food/toy), able to train in novel environments, and remain calmly in the car while other dogs are working.

Ξεκινάμε φέτος το Search & Rescue Dog Training Club στην Αθήνα, με έναρξη το Σάββατο 7 Φεβρουαρίου!

Πρόκειται για μία δομημένη, μακροπρόθεσμη ομάδα εκπαίδευσης για χειριστές/τριες που θέλουν να αναπτύξουν τις δεξιότητες του σκύλου τους στην Έρευνα & Διάσωση Ανοιχτού Πεδίου. Στόχος του προγράμματος είναι η προετοιμασία των ομάδων σκύλων χειριστών για τις εξετάσεις εργασίας IRO-FCI ή/και για εξετάσεις επιχειρησιακής ετοιμότητας.

🚨 6 διαθέσιμες θέσεις

📍 Μορφή Εκπαίδευσης
-3 δια ζώσης προπονήσεις την μήνα εντός Ν. Αττικής (Σάββατο ή Κυριακή)
-Online training sessions για θεωρητικά και τεχνικά θέματα

✅ Προϋποθέσεις Συμμετοχής Σκύλου
-Ηλικία 8 εβδομάδων - 8 ετών
-Κοινωνικός και άνετος γύρω από ανθρώπους
-Σε καλή κατάσταση υγείας
-Με υψηλό κίνητρο για τροφή, παιχνίδι ή και τα δύο

A few days ago we came home from SAR dog workshop in Xanthi, Greece, with a group of highly motivated dog handlers.

This was our final workshop for 2025.

As we plan ahead for 2026, we’re also taking a moment for a throwback to moments in this journey that were significant to us at Operational K9. Thank you to everyone who attended, hosted, trained hard, and helped make each event special for us.

More deployments for our bedbug detection dog teams -this time in Athens. 🪳

Even at very low infestation levels, our detection dog teams always look for physical evidence: dead insects, different life stages, shed skins, f***s, and small blood spots.
