We’re very happy to welcome Spud to the clinic! 💜

At just 1 month and 3 weeks old, this little guy came in for his first visit to register with us and book his first vaccination. 🩺💉

He may be tiny, but he’s already making a big impression! 🥰

🐶 Is your dog protected against Kennel Cough?
Kennel Cough is a highly contagious respiratory disease that spreads easily between dogs, especially in places where they gather, such as dog parks, boarding kennels, daycare facilities, grooming salons, training classes, and dog shows.
Common signs include:
🐾 A dry, persistent cough.
🐾 Retching or gagging.
🐾 Sneezing or nasal discharge.
🐾 In some cases, fever and lethargy.

💉 The good news is that it can be prevented.
The Kennel Cough vaccine helps reduce the risk of infection and, if a dog does become infected, it can lessen the severity of the disease.

A little patient, a great journey 🐶💚

Today, we would like to share the progress of one of our patients, who was diagnosed with mediastinal lymphoma.

Mediastinal lymphoma is a type of lymphoma that affects the lymph nodes and structures within the mediastinum and can cause respiratory signs and significantly affect the patient's general condition.

Our patient is currently undergoing his fourth chemotherapy session, and his progress has been very positive. 🩺✨

Every patient responds differently to treatment, which is why close monitoring throughout chemotherapy is essential to assess the response and adapt the treatment protocol when necessary.

💚 Moving forward, one session at a time.

We would especially like to thank his family for their trust and commitment throughout this journey. Because behind every treatment there is a patient, a family, and many more moments to share together. 🐾

🐾 Back to Routine: Does Your Pet Need Time to Adjust Too?

After the holidays, schedules change again: we go back to work, school starts, and we may spend more time away from home. And although we don’t always realise it, our pets notice these changes too!

Here are a few tips to help your pet adjust to the routine:

⏰ 1. Gradually return to regular schedules
Try to slowly get back to your usual feeding, walking and resting routines.

🏠 2. Avoid suddenly leaving them alone for long periods
If your pet has spent most of the holidays with you, gradually increase the amount of time they spend on their own.

🚶 3. Keep up their walks and quality time
Even when life gets busy again, make sure to set aside time for walks, play and attention.

🧠 4. Keep their minds active
Interactive toys, food puzzles and scent games can help keep your pet entertained while they’re at home.

❤️ 5. Watch for changes in behaviour
Excessive barking, destructive behaviour, changes in appetite or unusual withdrawal may be signs that your pet is struggling to adjust.

A routine can be a positive thing for our pets too. With a little patience and a gradual transition, getting back to everyday life can be much easier! 🐶🐱🐾

TO THE VET??? ME??? ON VACATION??? 😭

Look, I get that if I’m feeling under the weather, we have to go to the vet even if we’re on vacation. 🩺

But… did you really have to tell me with so little notice? 😭

Oh well. They took good care of me, gave me treats, and in the end it wasn't even that bad. 🥹💛

Because vacations are for enjoying, but being healthy is part of the plan too. 🐾☀️

Just one thing though: next time you grab the keys… EXPLAIN YOURSELF. 👀
