Dear All kindly note ,

That Dog is not a pure breed Shih Tzu if the seller cannot give you a pedigree certificate to authenticate purity.

Pedigree is not found in words , it is in documentation.

The Shih Tzu Club of Ghana through the assistance of the Kennel Union of Ghana issues pedigree certificates for all pure breed Shih Tzu. A pure bred Shih Tzu is one that has documented ancestry from a recognised kennel union up to the 4 generation

As a buyer or a stud user ,it is your responsibility to find out whether the will be stud or parents of pups have been shown or assessed before doing business with seller(the club can always give you that information when you reach out ). Any dog that has not been assessed or shown will not get pedigree certificate for its progeny The club has taken this position to guarantee that all Shih Tzu bred in Ghana conform to the Shih Tzu breed standards.

The public is hereby advised to get their Shih Tzu from responsible Shih Tzu breeders who belong to the Shih Tzu Club of Ghana. In the Shih Tzu club of Ghana, we believe every Shih Tzu must be known and it’s bloodline traced and it starts by insisting on getting a pedigree certificate only from the Kennel Union of Ghana or any recognised kennel union from other FCI countries .

Please note that open source websites do not qualify as pedigree, only a pedigree certificate issued by a stud book keeper of a recognised kennel union is what is acceptable
