Tiny Gigi in a big box en route to Delhi/Bangalore
We often face challenges with students adopting - or even buying - dogs during their stay here. While we always explain that it can be very difficult to take pets with them after their studies end, and recommend fostering as a better alternative, we still frequently receive last-minute messages from students who are leaving in just a few days or weeks and don't know what to do with their pets.
But Gigi’s story is the beautiful exception.
She was adopted by a medical student from India who gave her all the love and care she needed. He planned ahead, raised the necessary funds, and made sure everything was in place. After five years of studying in Georgia, he’s now returned home, with Gigi by his side.
We helped with papers and transport to the airport, and were very happy to be able to give a big hug to this goofy girl before she left.
Just look at her, patiently waiting for her flight to her new life near Bangalore!
Gigi's sister, Dzazi is still with us.
Please write us if you are interested in adopting Dzazi, or support her by donating.
