We’re hosting a beginner‑friendly Jesmonite Workshop with the brilliant objectify co , led by local artist Gabi Renavent. Over a relaxed two‑hour session, you’ll learn how to mix, pour and design your own beautiful pieces using this eco‑friendly material.

You’ll make three handmade items to take home:
• a terrazzo pot
• a ring dish
• a marble‑effect coaster

✨ HAPPY HOMING UPDATE – TWIST & SPINNER (now Prince and Bagheera) ✨

We were so delighted to receive this lovely update about Prince and Bagheera, previously known as Twist and Spinner, who have settled into their forever home amazingly well. 💖

Their adopters tell us the boys are loving all the cuddles and fusses 🥰 and, while they wait a little longer before venturing outside, they’re thoroughly enjoying watching the world go by from the windowsill.

Bagheera has claimed the highest perch on the cat tree as his kingdom and is having great fun playing with the knitted mouse and bunny toys he took home with him. Meanwhile, Prince has decided that the cardboard scratcher box is the ultimate sleeping spot — despite having four comfy beds around the house! 😂

It sounds like these two gorgeous boys are already adored beyond measure and we couldn’t be happier for them and their new family. Thank you so much for the wonderful update and photos guys! Hearing how well our cats are settling in truly makes our day. 🐾✨

Amazing news! We’re absolutely thrilled to share that our cat care volunteer Carol has made the final three on the shortlist for the Petplan Animal Charity Volunteer of the Year Award 🥳

With 25 years of dedication at Cats Protection North Yorkshire Cat Centre, Carol truly puts cats first every single day—showing compassion, courage, and unwavering commitment to helping cats in need. We couldn’t be prouder!

Carol and Centre manager James will be attending the Pet Plan Awards Ceremony on 7th May – the question on everyone’s lips is who will be wearing the sparkliest dress!

🐣🌼 Easter Egg Trail – Monday 6th April at Homestead Park! 🌼🐣

After enjoying our Open Weekend, why not come back for more springtime fun? Join us on Monday 6th April for our family-friendly Easter Egg Trail — a lovely outdoor adventure for a great cause.

Follow the trail through the park, enjoy homemade treats from our bake sale, get creative at the craft table, and have a go at our garden games.
