North Yorkshire Cat Centre We are Cats Protection North Yorkshire. For cat advice, call the cat centre on 01904 760356 or email: [email protected] Cats come to us for many reasons.

Like all Cats Protection Centres we work tirelessly to improve the lives of unwanted, abandoned or stray cats & kittens by finding them loving new homes. Until new homes are found cats and kittens are cared for at our Adoption Centre. We operate under strict guidelines to ensure the health and wellbeing of all cats and kittens in our care. In York and the surrounding area we re-home unwanted, aban

doned or stray cats. We can usually guarantee we will be full to bursting point, especially when kitten season gets into full swing. We actively promote neutering of all cats and offer advice to cat owners on all aspects of cat welfare. We aim to educate cat owners about the many benefits of neutering and dispel the popular myths which exist. We can assist people on a low income by providing a neutering voucher to reduce the cost of neutering their cat. We endeavour to manage the population of feral cats in our area. We have cat traps which we make available to the public (for a small deposit) for the purposes of trapping, neutering & returning to site (T-N-R). By doing this we hope to control the local feral cat population and ensure they are healthy. We have an extensive range of Cats Protection Cat Care leaflets and can also offer advice to cat owners. Our advice is not intended to be a substitute for professional veterinary opinions and you should always have your vet's contact details available.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the recent football tournament held in memory of Tom Hudson.

We were very grateful to receive a donation from the event, which has been split between ourselves and York City FC Foundation.

The money raised will go towards helping us care for the many cats and kittens currently at the Centre.

We’re honoured to have been part of this tribute to Tom, and it’s lovely to hear that the tournament will become an annual event.

Thank you again to Mark Mattinson and to everyone who played, supported, donated, and organised.

We've had a lovely update from a couple of our cheeky ex-residents! Their new owners said, 'I’m delighted to say that Curtain Twitcher and Pearl Clutcher (Poppy and Daisy) have settled in really well. Dog-face (Islay) has also accepted them nicely, although the cats prefer the run of the upstairs and the dog prefers downstairs. The white & black one (Daisy), is very much the dominant of the three pets, and the black and white one (photographed at the dog bowl), is very, very inquisitive. They are both really affectionate too.' It's good to see the girls in their new environment and getting nicely settled into their new home! 🏡😻

Happy Sunny Sunday everyone!🌞 Please share this post if you possibly can, we really need your help to find Mabel & Maudle a home ❤️

🌿🐾 Meet Mabel & Maudle — the tabby sisters looking for a quiet outdoor home! 🐱🐱
These 5-year-old semi-feral ladies need a safe, rural spot where they can live life on their own terms — no cuddles required! Just a warm shelter, regular food, and someone to keep an eye on them.
In return? Maybe some natural rodent patrol… but no promises! 🐭😉
Got a peaceful yard or barn with room for two independent mousers? These clever girls could be your perfect outdoor companions! 🌾🏡💚
