With temperatures soaring, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe, happy, and cool! 🐕💧 At Selby Petsitters and Dog Adventures, your dog’s wellbeing always comes first — so here are some top tips for hot weather care:

☀️ Walk early or late – Avoid the midday heat. Early mornings and cooler evenings are safest for walkies!
💦 Hydration is key – Always make sure your dog has access to fresh, cool water.
🌳 Seek shade – Keep outdoor time to shaded areas and avoid hot surfaces like tarmac or sand.
🧊 Cooling tricks – Try frozen treats, damp towels to lie on, or a doggy paddling pool!
🚫 No hot cars – Even a few minutes can be dangerous. Never leave your dog in a parked car.
