They’ll sleep through chaos, toys, and the recycling… but your tiniest 4am noise? Instant full alert mode 😹
Does anyone else get this kind of selective attention at night? 👇

🎊🎉Congratulations🎊🎉
To our lovely vet Matt who recently passed a post-graduate certificate in small animal dentistry. A lot of hard work in his spare time has gone into this certificate and this has meant he has now gained the post-nominals of PGCertDent(WBIS) on top of his current qualifications. Matt does love dentistry and this certificate has topped his passion. Well done Matt, your colleagues at Minster are proud of you and we hope you enjoy the celebratory beers too 🦷💚

To the animals lost in service, and to those who serve us today 💜
Animals like horses, dogs and pigeons were often drafted into the war effort, and purple poppies can be worn to remember the service of these animals and the lives that were lost.

⚠️ Antifreeze: Sweet-Tasting But Deadly
As the temperatures drop, many of us start using antifreeze in our cars… but did you know it’s one of the most dangerous winter toxins for pets?☠️
Antifreeze (which contains ethylene glycol) is often sweet-tasting to cats and dogs, but cats are most sensitive meaning even one teaspoon can be fatal.
📌 Key precautions:
- Store antifreeze well out of reach
- Clean up any spills immediately
- Don’t let your pet drink from puddles or driveways
- Avoid using products containing ethylene glycol - or better still any chemicals; try an ice scraper or windscreen cover instead.
⏱️ If you suspect your pet has licked or ingested antifreeze or screen wash, call us immediately. Time really is critical with this one.

The Minster Veterinary Practice has steadily grown and now has 21 vets, 18 veterinary nurses and 19 reception and admin staff, operating across its five branches and at its main hospital at Salisbury Road.
