Green Vets are now taking on new customers and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have been fantastic with our little pack 😀

To us, all animals in our care must receive the timely treatment they need, tailored to their specific illness or condition.

This requires a delicate balance between staff numbers, facilities, and the number of patients we have on our books.

We are pleased to announce that after completing our extension to the practice, the expanded facilities allow us to responsibly register new clients.

If you have a spaniel take a look at these bowls. They will keep those spaniel ears from getting soaking wet or caked in dinner. They are lovely and made to order exactly how you want them. There's even a slow feeder option. My lot live theirs 😀

Today we went to open day to celebrate the opening of their new extension. What can I say - WOW, they now have some amazing facilities on site with the new extension nearly doubling the size of the practice. There are some state of the art facilities and some lovely touches that show how much the wellbeing of the animals are at the core of the practice. For example there is a quiet consultation room with completely separate access, so scared or reactive dogs don't have to go through the main reception and the waiting room has a seperate cat and a dog area to try to keep your pets stress to a minimum while waiting for their consultation. I have been using Green Vets since they opened back in 2019 and wouldn't trust anyone else to look after my pack. They have helped me navigate through some of the most difficult times with compassion and care. Rob and Anne are brilliant and have put together a great team as they have expanded. They are independent unlike most practices so dont have the same prifit driven constraints corporate owned practices do If you are looking for a veterinary practice I can highly recommend them and they are currently taking on new patients

Theo and I are starting agility training 😀 We're not aiming to be heading to crufts any time soon, but agility has some great benefits for you and your dog:
- its great physical and mental exercise for both of you
- it strengthens the bond between you and your dog
-it refreshes basic commands and training
-it builds confidence and lowers anxiety
We are enrolling on this beginners course run by a very experienced lady in Huby on a tuesday evening. If anyone fancies a go, contact her direct to book your place and we'll see you there! 😀

For anyone thinking of getting a tracker for their dog there is an offer on the Drone SAR page where you can get a code for a free Tractive tracker. I got two for two of my dogs recently and have found them really good so far. They also do health monitoring which is really interesting. So I have just ordered two more for my other dogs with the free codes I got. You have to pay a subscription of which there are various options. I chose the premium which is £120 for two years but I just got a free year added as an extra bonus, so three years for £120. Having seen so many dogs getting lost without happy endings recently I think it's worth it for the peace of mind. One local case in particular was heartbreaking. A one year old spaniel got frightened and bolted, she has been missing since May and was recently found deceased right near where she was lost. Had she had a tracker they may well have found her that day and not had months sleepless nights and heartbreak. You always think it won't happen to you until the day it does 😥
