‼️Did you know‼️ that cleaning your turnout/waterproof rugs in a household detergent and/or fabric conditioner can compromise the waterproof, breathable coating on the rug? This may mean that the rug, when used, no longer stands up to wet weather causing the water leaks through. Horses can also be sensitive to these detergents.

Here at Merlin Equestrian, we aim to keep all horses warm, dry and cosy - we clean all rugs in a specialist equine detergent - waterproof/turnout rugs in RugSafe UK rug wash, and can also reproof older or more weathered/worn rugs with Rugsafe rug proof - both products revitalize the rugs water resistance and breath ability! These products are specifically made for horse rugs + are the best in the business!

WHAT IS REQUIRED (Washing/Proofing/Repairs)

This is extremely important for my team to be able to process your rugs effectively, efficiently + hassle free - but also for invoicing.

As you can imagine, we have lots of rugs in our care at one time - multiple clients from one yard also at a time. Without contact details we have NO WAY of contacting them not only for queries, but also for means of invoicing/payment.

Please can I reiterate to all customers -

Where possible, please can rugs be CLEARLY LABELLED in BAGS with the following:

Customer name
Customer contact number
What is required:
WASH
REPROOF
REPAIR

This saves any confusion back at HQ. As you can appreciate we have hundreds of rugs through the door, each customer with different requirements so it saves any issues down the line!

Without this, I also have no way of contacting new customers to invoice them following the work being carried out or for updates!

I guess it’s like dropping off your dress or suit at the laundry and not leaving a name and what you’d like doing to it! 🤷‍♀️🤣🫣 Not only does it make our life easier but yours hassle free too as the customer 😁😁
