Being the mum of an old dog is such a privilege, but it can also be a big challenge...
This is my Cosmo, who will be 16 in April. Our beautiful, soulful April fool! 🥰
Cozzie (or Cosmonaut, Cosmotron, Cosmo The Wonder Dog, or Cosmosis, as he's affectionately known to his fans) has had a rocky road health-wise these last few months, and we're constantly chopping and changing in response - forever trying to do what's best for him. And then questioning practically every decision we make!
There have been a lot of nights recently where it's him and me on the couch (he can't safely manage the stairs now), but that's my promise to all of my animals: they don't go through anything tough without me. So I'll always be there.
After another sofa surfing evening, I've just snapped this pic, and wanted to post it. I love this dog with every beat of my heart and I know too well what lies ahead of us. But for now, I'm going to soak up every moment of his loyal and unconditional love, and wrap him so tightly up in mine ❤️
