🎃 Watch out for decorations that could be chewed or swallowed.
😰 Stick to routine to help reduce stress and anxiety.

If in doubt, please reach out to your local veterinary practice for support.

🚨 Please read, save, and share this post. You may save a dog’s life.

Seasonal Canine Illness is a very rare dog disease of unknown cause that can be potentially fatal. Most cases are seen after woodland walks from August to November.

Vomiting, diarrhoea, tiredness, tremors, and sometimes fevers are the tell-tale symptoms.

Contact your local vet practice ASAP if you have any concerns or questions.

Pets are great sources of comfort and motivation, helping us lead mentally healthier lives by:

🧠 Gets you out the house for daily walks or play time, making physical activity more fun!
🧠 Giving you a sense of security and make us feel wanted and needed.

Here’s a look back at some of the key milestone moments of the last 10 years….

Established in 2015 by vet Jo Malone, we’ve grown into one of the most respected and trusted groups of veterinary practices and animal healthcare businesses, with 13,000 awesome colleagues.

We can't wait to share more celebration videos over the coming weeks, culminating in our 10th anniversary on October 31st.

Meet Mabel. 😍

The lovely Mabel visited Beech House Veterinary Centre, as she had been having trouble with her ears. She was given an anaesthetic so they could examine them, then flush and clean them.

This will help get on top of the infection that Mabel had been suffering from. As you can see, she got plenty of love and tummy strokes. ❤️

We love seeing our patients get lots of love and comfort during their stay at the vets. 😻 Yuki is a prime example, who visited St Peter's Vets recently. 💛

There was a concern that Polly had eaten some, and acorns are very toxic to dogs.

They can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, liver and kidney damage. It was decided that making her sick to empty her stomach was the best action. Luckily, the fantastic team at Charter Veterinary Surgeons, Congleton were on hand to help.

Some other autumn hazards to be aware of are:
🍂 Conkers
🍂 Fungi/Mushrooms
🍂 Harvest Mites
🍂 Darker nights - consider reflective clothing for evening walks

Seek prompt veterinary advice from your local practice if you suspect ingestion of any toxic substances.

Celebrating a decade of care, growth, and recognition! 🙌💛

We’re proud and delighted that VetPartners has been shortlisted for Employer of the Year and that our CEO Jo Malone has been shortlisted for Business Personality of the Year in The Press (York) Business Awards.

This double nomination is especially poignant because VetPartners celebrates its 10th anniversary on October 31st.

From small beginnings with just three practices, VetPartners has grown into one of the most respected groups of veterinary practices and animal healthcare companies, putting the care of patients, the care of clients and the care of colleagues at the heart of everything.

We’re committed to creating a great place to work for our 13,000 team members across the UK and Europe, including our headquarters in York, where we were founded by Jo, a former vet at Minster Vets, in 2015.

Celebrating our 10th anniversary with our awesome team members will be incredibly special, and to be nominated in two categories in The Press Business awards, is the icing on the cake!

🦭 Clifton Lodge Vets are helping to save our seals.

Did you know that Clifton Lodge Veterinary Group has seen 10 cases, this summer, of common seal pups brought into our practice either dead or needing to be put to sleep due to mouth rot?

Mouth rot is a condition that affects the mouths of newly weaned common seal pups. Pups can experience muzzle swelling, facial wounds and abscesses and ulceration of the roof of the mouth. The ulcerations can become severe and have serious impacts on the pup’s health and welfare, ultimately resulting in their death.

They have actively taken swabs from their mouths and samples of blubber to help Tara Seal Research in their investigations, establish what is causing this, and help our seal population. 💙
