Fun fact: The blue tit is a songbird and it’s favoured habitat is broad-leaved woodland.
However, the blue tit is extremely adaptable and can be found abundantly in several other habitats.

Blue t**s love the hedge around Tinches gardens and are constantly seen flying back and forth between our bird feeders and the hedge where they all loudly & proudly sing (not in unison).

Tinches Tips: Please leave a shallow bowl of water outside as heatwaves sweep through the country, this will not only help birds & wildlife, you might also be able to get some cool shots to share.

📸: registered this lovely blue tit at Tewin Orchard Nature Reserve.

July is officially here, the garden is beaming with life and we do so love to have a little Robin redbreast always around. Robins are well known to British gardeners and they are unafraid of people often hope to score any food which might be brought up to the surface on recently disturbed or planted gardens. Have you seen a Robin today?

📸 has her very own little redbreast visitor!

Like most songbirds, baby blackbirds are born altricial, meaning they’re totally blind and are largely undeveloped.
Nevertheless baby blackbirds grow exceptionally quick, obtaining around 50 to 60% of their adult body weight in the first ten days.
Fluffy, downy feathers begin to grow after a couple of days, giving a week-old nestling blackbird a somewhat round or rotund appearance, but it won’t be time to fledge until another week has passed.

📸 captured this adorable video of a baby blackbird being fed out of its nest by its equally large parent.

Nevertheless baby blackbirds grow exceptionally quick, obtaining around 50 to 60% of their adult body weight in the first ten days.
Fluffy, downy feathers begin to grow after a couple of days, giving a 7-day-old nestling blackbird a somewhat round or rotund appearance, the chicks are ready to fledge within 15 days however they may feasibly survive out of the nest after 9 days.

📸 managed to capture this lovely video of a blackbird looking after an equally large offspring out of its nest. Simply adorable!
