🤩 Time flies when your chasing tales! 🤩

Well goodness me, how did we get to April so quickly! Time has just zoomied by 🐩 💨 🤣

How lovely the lighter nights are and seeing more sunshine has been a real tonic!

I have the pleasure of grooming and getting to know so many lovely dogs and of course their lovely owners. It’s been a while since I last posted so here’s a mix of some clients who have visited 😄

Firstly we have Minature Poodle, Sullivan (Sully). Sully had been coming to the salon for puppy grooms and has now experienced his first full groom! His owners do a necessary and fantastic job of brushing him inbetween his appointments which is great! Sully is a real cutie and pleasure to groom, he has gained confidence throughout his appointments which is lovely. See you next time Sully 😀

Then we have handsome Standard Poodle, Benjamin Gold!
Benjamin has been coming to the salon also for puppy grooms, prior to his full groom which has really helped him with the experience. He has a real zest for life and plenty of growing still to do! I look forward to seeing the change in him at each visit. Well done Benjamin trying to contain your excitement in the bath, I didn’t get anything like as nearly as wet during your last visit 🤣

Border Collie Hettie loves her bath and brush out! Hettie comes regularly and has a teeth clean when needed. She has a kind, gentle temperament and always has a smile on her face. Hettie is having a de-shed too at her next appointment to remove her excess undercoat and loose fur. See you soon Hettie 😊

Spaniel Jasper recently came for his first appointment to the salon. His owner had explained he wasn’t keen on having his feet trimmed but he actually dealt with it very well during the appointment and left with tidy toes! Well done Jasper, it was lovely to meet and welcome you to Banda Dog Grooming, see you next time 😊

Minature Schnauzer Fig has been for her second appointment and groomed to her owners preference. Her first groom was Figs first experience in a salon and she had certainly gained in confidence during her second visit. Well done Fig 😊 Fig’s appointments are allocated at 7.30am to fit round her owners work commitments. If you would like to be allocated an early appointment when I’m scheduling, please let me know.
See you next time Fig 😄

Then we have 9 month old King Charles Spaniel Rolo. It was Rolos first visit to any salon and he was great! He had accumulated some matting behind his ears which was removed, allowing his owners now to be able to comb through and avoid future matting. What a little cutie he is. Lovely to meet you Rolo 😃

Golden Retriever Buddy came for a de-shed appointment and will now have regular appointments. It was also Buddy’s first time in a salon environment but there was no need to worry. Buddy took it all in his stride and his lovely nature came through. See you next time Buddy 😃

Finally we have Spaniel Kalvin. Kalvin comes regularly for grooming, he isn’t clipped, his coat is scissor trimmed. He was quite nervous around having his back legs and hind area trimmed during his first appointments but is so much more confident now. Happily standing whilst I comb through and scissor the area, he has made fantastic progress and always has lots of enthusiasm when in the salon so well done Kalvin! See you next time 😊

The salon is extremely busy so it’s much appreciated that appointment times are adhered to and also to all that respond to the ‘I’m running ahead of time’ message! I always allow plenty of time for appointments and starting early in the day can sometimes mean that by the afternoon I am ahead of time so it’s appreciated moving appointment times forward where possible.

This year already has seen the loss of some dear clients who have sadly passed over rainbow bridge. Many who had been visiting the salon since I opened, it’s always such a sad time and my thoughts are with their families 🌈

If you need to alter an appointment please give as much notice as possible, I often have clients wishing to move appointments forward or waiting for a cancellation so the more notice given the better to enable time to organise.

Thank you again as always and for choosing myself as your dogs groomer. Your continued support and recommendations are much appreciated and keep me so busy!

Very best wishes as always to all, Emma xx

The happiest of Christmases and best wishes for the new year 🎄

Thank you too for all your gifts, tips and well wishes this year, it really is appreciated.

I wish you all the very best of health and happiness for 2026, let’s hope it’s a great year for all 🍾

🤩 Welcome to the pack! 🤩

Thank you for all your recommendations which help keep the salon so busy, it is really appreciated.

It has been great to welcome and be able to accommodate some new clients. There have been a wide range of dog breeds through the salon doors which is lovely to see!

Firstly we have Brenin who is a Briard and the first of his breed I have had in the salon. He is three and a half and has been used to being bathed and groomed at home. His owners were looking for him to now have regular grooms at a salon and I had the pleasure of meeting him this week.
He is a large dog and I wasn’t sure how he would react to a salon environment being it his first time but he was fantastic and loved the gravy bone treats too!
Well done Brenin, I will look forward to seeing you next time 😃

Then we have 16 year old spaniel Tilly.
Tilly was one of my first clients through the doors when I opened and is such a lovely girl.
Tilly has a thick coat and will have felt the benefit of her shorter clip last week. It was really lovely to see her doing so well at 16 and nice to catch up with her owner too 😊

Labradors Mabel and Brook came for their first appointment in the salon.
Both lovely girls, very well mannered who again took it all in their stride and were a pleasure to meet.
They both enjoyed a de shed and Brook had a teeth clean also removing some plaque which had built up.
I’ll look forward to seeing you next time girls 😀

Parson Jack Russell Nelly is new to the area and came for a hand strip appointment.
She was very good throughout her appointment and looked great post groom!
It’s always lovely meeting new clients and getting to know them.
See you again in the new year Nelly 🤩

Then we have Labradoodle Bunty.
She is again new to the salon and due to my availability was overdue her groom.
Despite this, she was super throughout and will have felt fantastic leaving with her freshly groomed glow.
It was great to meet Bunty and her owners too. Will look forward to seeing you at your next appointment Bunty 😀

Cockerpoos Choco and Sid are new to the area also and I was pleased to be able to offer an appointment for them both.
They are lovely boys who have short clips to help with managing their coats.
Both have great personalities!
See you next time boys 😊

Lastly we have Pippa and Max, terrier rescue dogs.
Pippa is a Lakeland/Patterdale and Max a long haired Jack Russel.
Their owner had expressed that Max wasn’t good with nail clipping which I had noted, however, it came to nail clipping I needent have been concerned. Max stood like a rock with no issues. I just hope it wasn’t beginners luck!
Again, it’s been great to welcome such lovely dogs and meet their owners. See you in December guys 😊

Nights are drawing in and we will soon be at the end of another year!

I really do have such lovely clients and am so appreciative, thanks again as always and best wishes to all, Emma x

🤩 Looking Fur-tastic 🤩

Lots of views on my page and new followers which is great!

The salon has been as busy as ever with such a variety of clients coming through the door which is lovely 😃

I will be shortly starting to schedule the diary for appointments until the end of the year. It works really well organising the diary this way to try and accommodate preferred days/times for you all.

I have seen more clients requesting appointments from 7.30am so if you would prefer an earlier appointment time moving forward please let me know 🐾

I am fortunate enough to not have a ‘quiet time’ in the salon so if you have a new puppy or dog that you would like to bring for grooming please let me know so I can schedule in and allocate appointments. Priority is always given to existing clients, but as I book weeks ahead, I need to know with as much notice as possible to be able to accommodate 😊

Again, so many lovely dogs have been in for which I am so thankful.

Firstly we have Molly who has sadly been suffering with skin allergies. She was bathed with a prescribed shampoo from the vets and clipped short to help her cope with the warmer weather and help skin condition.
Molly isn’t a fan of having her nails clipped but was great throughout her groom and had her dew claws clipped without hesitation which was a real milestone for her! Well done Molly 😃

Then we have 16 week old Leonburger, Storm. She was great for her first visit. Her owner wasn’t sure how she would be with the driers but she was very brave and took it all in her stride. Puppy grooming is so important to get them used to the salon equipment and environment from an early age. She is going to be a big girl and I will look forward to seeing her grow during her future visits 😊

14 year old Mally was in for his groom. He has had some troubles with his teeth but it was nice to see him looking so well at his appointment. Lovely to see you Mally 😃

Whirlwind Roxie was in for her groom 😀She is such a bundle of energy! Her tail never stops wagging throughout her groom. I was pleased and also surprised to be able to get a picture of her to post, and a smile for the camera too! 😁

Then we have Brucie. I’m sure it’s not his favourite way to spend any free time having a pamper but he definitely gets the benefit post groom. He has lovely thick ears which his owner does a great job of keeping them knot free but keeping his hair short between his toes is of real benefit this time of year to try and avoid the dangers of grass seeds getting embedded inbetween toes. See you next time Brucie 😊

Jackapoo Chopper came in for his groom. He likes to have an explore round the salon once his groom has finished and always enjoys the treats after! It has now been over a year since he had his wedding pamper prior to his owners getting married, time has just flown by! See you next time Chopper ☺️

A regular to the salon came for his de shed. All dogs shed at different rates and this Labrador is one who benefits from regular de shedding. This will help with reduced shedding/hair around the home and will help regulate his heat in this warmer weather 😊

Lastly we have minature Poodle Atlas for a puppy groom. He was such a good boy and his owners are doing a great job of brushing and keeping his coat knot free. He was such a lovely bundle of fluff and I was pleased to be able to welcome him to the salon. See you next time Atlas ☺️

Thank you for all your thank you’s, it really means a lot 🥰

I hope your all enjoying the summer. We’ll blink and nights will soon be drawing in!

Don’t forget to check between toes and behind ears for grass seeds 🐾

Best wishes, Emma x

🤩 Busy, busy, busy! 🤩

Even though I say so myself I have been doing really well with my weekly posting, however over the last couple of weeks time has gone so quickly I’ve got behind so here’s a catch up!

I am grateful for my clients new and old for keeping me so busy!

Thank you for being so accommodating with swapping appointment times with others to help my diary when I need to alter and also for responding to the ‘I’m running ahead of time’ message! I truly appreciate it.

My days have been starting as early as 6.30am to work around your work commitments and to accommodate the extra grooms which are sometimes required during the summer months.

Grass seeds can be a real problem this time of year. I have removed several over the last weeks that have started to embed behind ears and particularly between toes so please keep a check in these areas inbetween grooms especially if your dog is licking the area.

So many lovely dogs have been through the salon doors 😃

Diesel, the smile says it all! Loved every minute of his groom and could have stayed for more. Thanks for the cuddles Diesel, it was really lovely to meet you 🥰

It was lovely to welcome Muffin and Charlie. Their owner was concerned about Muffin during her groom and had struggled to find a suitable groomer for her. She is a rescue and can be nervous but I am pleased to say she settled really well in the salon and was not reactive at all which was fantastic! I’ll look forward to seeing them both again in September 😃

Jazz is another new client who has been used to being groomed and took it all in her stride being in a new salon environment. Lovely to meet you Jazz and see you next time 😊

Reggie is next and what a super boy he is! He has been coming for sometime for appointments but had his first full clip at his last visit as had been struggling with the hot weather. He suffers with some anxiety in certain situations but his owner has been working hard following a training plan with him to help this and it was evident to see the improvements at his appointment and really lovely to see ☺️

Monty came for his regular groom. Look at those lovely ears! Such a sweet boy and always great throughout his grooms. He is a target for grass seeds around his ears and inbetween his toes which is why regular grooming especially this time of year is so beneficial. Look forward to seeing you next time Monty 😃

Peanut! Always a pleasure and straight down on his back for a tummy rub! Always a smiling face and seems appreciative of his groom. He loves to see what’s going throughout his appointment and especially enjoys any activity from the cows moving in the fields! 😊

‘The Family’! Isla, Ruby and Tilly (granny, daughter and grand daughter).
I am lucky enough to be able to groom three generations. Isla and Ruby were some of my first clients when I opened some 5 years ago and then it was lovely to welcome Tilly.
They are all impeccably well behaved when in for their appointments. Sitting quietly, snoozing in the bed until their turn. I was pleased to be able to get a picture of them all together. Lovely girls 🥰

Coco who visited for her second appointment. It has been lovely to welcome you Coco. A super girl who enjoys her groom 😊

I really do my very best to accommodate extra appointments where I can and want to express again how appreciative I am of you all where possible swapping appointments where you can when needed.

Watch out for those grass seeds!

Thanks again for your support and lovelyness, Emma xx

🤩 Furry to Fabulous! 🤩

Such a variety of wonderful dogs through the salon doors!

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome 13 year old Rotweiller Jake for his first appointment at the salon. His owner was unsure how Jake would respond during his groom as he isn’t a fan of water and doesn’t like loud noises, but what a star he was! He wasn’t fazed by the bath or driers and stood perfectly on the table for his de shed. What a difference in his coat post groom, he looked amazing! Well done Jake 😃

Handsome spaniel Brody was in for his regular groom. With the weather being so hot earlier in the week he will have been thankful for his shorter coat, which enhances his lovely coat colour and markings beautifully. Brody is always very good during his grooms and knows the routine very well. He knows when his groom is nearly complete and his tail starts wagging in anticipation of him coming down from the table for his treats! 😊

Next we have Labradors Fern and Holly, both are really lovely girls. Fern unfortunately suffers with some plaque build up on her teeth so part of her groom includes teeth cleaning where any plaque is removed. Both are super in the salon, Holly especially has lots of enthusiasm jumping in the bath and on the table and knows exactly where the treats are! 😃

Lovely Havaneese Lola came in for her groom. She lives on a farm and enjoys going on lots of adventures and digging! I would love to follow her for a day to find out what she gets upto! Her owners do a great job of helping look after her coat inbetween grooms. With Lola’s coat being lovely and long, regular grooming is essential. I think Lola’s nails are some of the smallest I clip and she always stands very patiently whilst they are being done which is a real help. Thank you Lola! ☺️

Terrier Cross Sparky and Retriever Dexter are next. Sparky isn’t a fan of having his front legs being clipped but over time has become more accepting of this. Sparky also had a teeth clean this time to remove plaque which had built up and was great throughout. Look at his smile! Dexter is always extremely excited when he comes in but does settle nicely once his mum has left. He has to win the award for giving the most kisses throughout his groom, it’s non stop! Both lovely characters 😃

Next is Golden Doodle Elsie who was one of my first clients when I opened the salon doors. She used to have her grooms with Rosie, also a Golden Doodle but sadly Rosie passed over rainbow bridge at the end of last year due to cancer. Elsie is a really sweet girl and has a lovely gentle nature. She always gives her owners lots of love before they leave 🥰

Finally we have Golden Retriever Billy who was happy to be in for his appointment, jumping straight in the bath and then onto the table. Although I think Billy would enjoy going for a swim rather than having his groom, he’ll definitely have felt the benefits post groom. Regular appointments are of great benefit following Billy’s active lifestyle. Lovely to see you Billy, another treat lover too! 😃

⭐️ MORE SALON NEWS! ⭐️

After purchasing a bake at home birthday cake kit, for my own dog Pops recently and being so impressed, I am pleased to be able to now stock award winning, 100% natural, grain free, make at home, healthy dog cakes, treats and ice cream.

The kits are the perfect way to get your four legged family member involved with any celebrations and will be available in the salon shortly 🐾

That’s all for this week everyone, can you believe we are over half way through 2025 already, time is just flying by this year!

Love to all

🤩 What a beautiful bunch 🤩

Goodness it’s been hot! Here are some of last weeks clients who will be feeling the benefit post groom in this heat.

First we have Cockerpoos Roxy and Indie, then Lhasapoo Pickles for their regular grooms. All super confident throughout their grooms and enjoy their treats after 😊

Spaniel Skye had her routine bath and trim which helps to remove grass seeds before they have chance to get embedded. She always stands very proudly on the table 😃

Italian Spinone Disley was in. Always great to see her and goodness she’s very strong when excited! 😆

Spaniels Ludo and Pippin were in for their bath and trim and they know the routine so well. Lovely boys 😊

Next we have toy poodle Parmo. He’s always very excited to be coming in and knows exactly when he is coming up the lane to the salon! An absolute joy and pleased he loves his visits so much ☺️

Standard Poodle Arlo has been coming to the salon since he was a puppy. It has been a pleasure to be able to groom him starting off with his puppy grooms and seeing him alter throughout time ☺️

And finally Cockerpoo Milo who is new to the salon, visiting for his second appointment. A super boy 😊

As always, if I feel the salon environment will be too hot for your dog due to heat, I will contact you individually to re arrange.

It’s been lovely as always to catch up with all you great owners too!

Thanks as always, Emma x

🤩 Fluff, Suds and Snips - What a week! 🤩

It’s been a hot one this week but I was pleased to be able to fit in as many paws as possible before temperatures got too high in the salon, and here’s a few!

First we have spaniel Elsa for her regular appointment. She suffers with the hot weather so was grateful for her groom 😊

Then cockerpoos Albert and Mabel, both always great throughout their grooms. I was surprised even myself how much coat had grown since their last visit! 😃

Fox Terrier Teddy came and left with a spring in his step and enjoyed a swim later in the afternoon! 😊

Ruffles visited for her regular groom and eye clean. She suffers with her eyes weeping but regular baths inbetween her grooms really help 😃

Then I welcomed spaniel Maggie, new to the salon. A whirlwind and bundle of fun! It was lovely to meet her and she will feel great after her clip. Will look forward to seeing you next time Maggie 😃

Max enjoyed his groom and was lovely to see him. He’s never sure of coming in but when he’s in loves every minute 😃

Tibetan Terrier Duffy has had her puppy grooms in the salon and had her first clip this week. She was great and took it all in her stride and will be feeling the benefits of her groom. Well done Duffy! 🤩

Finally Pomapoo Foxy who was one of my first customers through the salon doors in 2020. He has had some health issues but he is doing great and always lovely to see him 😊

Another busy week is ahead, I can’t believe we are nearing the end of June already!

Then Ruby and Finn, Finns favourite part of his appointment is chasing the brush when I’m sweeping up after, he loves it!😊
Spaniels Nellie and Ted were in. I’m not sure Ted sees the point of his groom but always enjoys the treats after 😃
Lovely Poppy came for her groom. She’s a little anxious when coming in but feels great when we’re finished. She knows the routine very well and her tail starts wagging when we’re near the end. She’s such a good girl throughout ☺️
New to the salon is Chloe, 10 year old Jack Russell x Patterdale, a new local client. It was lovely to meet her and will look forward to seeing her again 🙂
Then we have Bess who went to stay away with family for a time but is now back home. It’s lovely to see you again 😊

Labrador Rupert had his regular appointment which was a de shed last week. What a lot of hair! He loves coming in but has managed to calm himself a little as he has got a little older. It’s hard not to love his enthusiasm! 😃
Alfie came for his regular groom, his coat soon grows! Always a pleasure and lovely to see him 🙂
Cavapoo Mabel had her regular groom. She’s always pleased to be coming which is lovely, such a kind girl 😊

It was lovely to welcome Harley and Paddy to the salon for the first time this week and they both took it all in their stride. I will look forward to seeing them on their next visit 🤩
Hugo and Basil have been for their regular groom and are always a pleasure 😃
Labrador Shortbread came for his regular de shed and teeth cleaning appointment. He is a rescue and has grown in confidence during his grooms at the salon which I have found very rewarding. Well done Shortbread!
It was great to see Luna who visited for her groom. She is always such a good girl and I am sure will feel great with her shorter coat as the weather gets warmer 😊
New to the salon is spaniel Harvey. He was very excited to be coming for his first appointment and had the smile to show it too! I wish I had your energy Harvey 😆
Labradoodle Kooba had her regular groom. Kooba was quite timid when she first started coming for her grooms around a year ago but has really come out of herself during her appointments now and clearly enjoys her time in the salon, especially her bath! 😃
Finally Maisie and Bella. Maisie was one of the first paws through the salon doors in 2020 when she was 10 months old and then came along Bella in 2023. Both lovely girls 😊

It’s been a really lovely week and nice to welcome some new faces to the salon too!

🤩 Last couple of days 🤩

It has been sometime since I have posted, so here is a snap shot of a few of my clients comings and goings from the last couple of days. Keep a look out for future posts!

First, Monte, a 14 month old Labradoodle with a zest for life! He has grown in confidence with each visit and had his first clip this week, he did fantastic!
Next Ziggy and Shadow who are real pros in the salon, Ziggy especially is very excited to be in for his appointment 😃
Then Sid, a working dog who had his first visit this week. His owner was unsure how he would be but had no need to be concerned. Sid loved his pamper and kept nudging me each time I stopped de shedding to say ‘don’t stop’. A real pleasure and very rewarding to see him so relaxed.
After Sid, Spaniels Buster and Charlie. Buster was one of the first clients through the doors when I opened and then came along Charlie. They are both great!
Following on, Cockerpoo Freddy who has been coming to the salon since a puppy and is 1 today 🎂
Llasa Apso Elmo first came after lockdown and has regular appointments ever since. He’s a real sweetie 😊
Not forgetting finally Chow chow Baloo has been coming to the salon since a puppy and goodness he’s grown!
