A message of thanks from Frances at World Horse Welfare to Yeovil Deluxe Cattery customers for raising £543.00 + gift aid over the past year!
Our Stanley who some of you may have spotted out in the field was rescued at only 4 months old by World Horse Welfare, along with another foal. The field officer involved with the rescued was concerned he would not survive the journey to the rescue centre. Thanks to the work of World Horse Welfare, Stanley made a full recovery and now lives a full life chasing his field mate Rocky around!

Dear Loyal Customers of Yeovil Deluxe Cattery
Thank you very much for your kind donation of £543.00 towards World Horse Welfare’s work. It is only with your help that we are able to reach thousands of vulnerable horses every year. Your generous donation will enable us to continue our work to improve the welfare of horses in the UK and overseas, together with our campaigning for better welfare standards through legislation.
This year World Horse Welfare celebrates 95 years of helping horses. Throughout our history we have achieved so much for vulnerable horses. We have influenced at least 50 pieces of legislation to better protect horse welfare, including the Animal Welfare Act 2006, the Control of Horses Act 2015, and most recently the legal requirement for all horses to be microchipped for identification which came into effect on 1 October 2018.
Also with your generosity we can help horses like striking cob Teddy who came into our care, and little Shetland Chilli who came in unhandled, and full of lice and with a heavy worm burden, together with all the other horses and ponies who have come into the safety of Glenda Spooner Farm, Rescue and Rehoming Centre. Under the care of our expert staff we always aim to be able to complete the rehabilitation of our horses and ponies and successfully rehome them. They then remain under the ownership of World Horse Welfare and have a minimum of twice-yearly checks to safeguard their wellbeing. Throughout the UK we can have up to 300 horses under our care and over 2,000 out on loan in approved homes through our rehoming scheme at any one time.
The commitment of our supporters has made it possible for us to achieve so much to improve the lives of horses over the past nine decades, and we are so grateful to you for joining us on the journey ahead. We promise that all your funds will be put to good use in supporting horse welfare locally, nationally and around the world. Thank you all once again.
Yours faithfully,
Frances
