I couldn't decide which photo to use of the very beautiful Nancy so I have used all of them! ❤️ She was so funny today having zoomies on the end of her line. She does look happy , bless her.
Only one cat was around for breakfast. And one dead baby Stout in the kitchen. 😞
It was too hot for a walk this afternoon so Romeo had a short play in the garden followed by a calm chill out inside so I could make sure he hadn't done too much.
Paisley also had inside play. Hiding food for Paisley is a useful tool as she isn't always very good at eating her food from a bowl. All of her days ration was eaten. ❤️

I only had my twice a day drop in visits today. The small furries had their daily clean out , making sure anything wet is removed mainly because of the flies , don't want any fly eggs or grubs , and the ammonia would be pretty nasty.
The horses have got into a routine of seeing me and waiting for their food and hay. They have become quite calm around me.

Cookie , Guinea Pig , needed her wound cleaning a little this morning before I applied cream. And then she had her antibiotics. She is a very good patient. All the small furries love receiving there evening fruit and vegetables, and bonus dandelion leaves. The horses are happy , apart from the flies , which seem worse this year.

Nancy was pleased to see me and so very responsive on her walk. ❤️ There were several people and a dog also out and about but Nancy was happy to explore the environment , not only with her nose but feet , as you can see from the photo.

My usual two drop in visits to the small furries and then to the horses. All well with everyone and , happy to say , Cookies wound is healing nicely. ❤️

It was a second walk with Nancy today. Such a good girl. We met two dogs whilst we were in the park playing , I think she was enjoying herself so much she ignored the dogs. ❤️

That was a busy day. Thank you all for trusting me with your fur babies. I feel honoured.

First were the cats. No dead bodies to clear up. And both were healthy and happy.
Then was my drop in visits to the Guineas and Rabbits. Followed by the horses to feed. All animals seem happy and healthy. I am still treating little Cookie as per instructions.
Paisley was my first walk of the day. Up to the woods to chase Squirrels , she has never caught any!
Romeo was able to play with his ball for longer as the temperature had significantly decreased.
And then...... The very beautiful Nancy , aka Snowy from TinTin ❤️😁 . Nancy is very under confident in the big outside world. And becomes very introverted , which looks like she is aloof and ignoring the human but she is actually trying to protect herself. She is a lovely dog so hopefully things will improve.
It was then time for handsome Basil and his Greyhound friends , oh and the horses! 🫣

Chip has been with me for around four and a half years. He is a rescue from the dog meat trade in Korea. When he was rescued he had a broken pelvis and hip due to a road traffic accident.

He has always had high levels of anxiety and reactiveness and has required careful management using free work to naturally calm him. Recently things that would normally help haven't and therefore his anxiety has gotten worse. Something was going on! 🤔 A usual cause of anxiety is pain so an appointment was made to have x-rays done.

I have to say I am very very impressed with Kingston Veterinary Practice in Sherborne. They listened to me on what Chip needed to make the process as easy for him as possible. Unfortunately the medication they gave me to calm him didn't work so they gave him a sedative in the muscle whilst he was in my car , that didn't work. He was given a top up! He wasn't able to sleep because of his high level of anxiety 🫪 😔 He was calm enough to go with the vet who then topped him up again intravenously.

The initial outcome is a bone in the pelvis that had broken in the accident that isn't surgically corrected because it is meant to heal itself , hasn't! 🤦So it's pain management , until it can't be managed anymore.

My day started with feeding and checking the health of the cats , and clearing up any dead bodies that they have left! 🐁...

My day started with feeding and checking the health of the cats , and clearing up any dead bodies that they have left! 🐁🐇

I then went to look after Basil and his Greyhound friends. Basil is very very old and he is such a happy little chap 😁❤️ So lovely to see him. At the same household were Guinea Pigs, Horses and poultry which I also checked.

I also had the lovely Romeo. It was too hot for a walk so a short play in the garden with the hose going then inside to relax.

And finally I continue to look after the small furry family and horses.

A lovely walk in the woods this morning with Miley. Lots of interesting smells , sounds and different surfaces under her feet. Today was my last day, this time round , of looking after Miley and friends. I look forward to the next time . ❤️

Cookie the Guinea Pig is about the same today but she seems happy in herself and is eating. I will continue to treat and monitor. All the other animals are happy and well.
