The Blackmore & Sparkford Vale is in the heart of the Blackmore Vale and caters for all abilities and ages. The branch regluarly have members competiting in triathlon, tetrathlon, show jumping, dressage, one day events. However if you just want to have fun on your pony and learn more we cater for those as well in our wide range of rallies. All information can be found on:

🐴 Half Term Competition Round-Up 🐴

We’re still catching up on all the fun from half term and wanted to share some results from two competitions!

🌟 RA Junior Show 🌟

Amelia had a brilliant day:
🏅 5th in the 70cm
🥉 3rd in the 60cm
🥇 1st in Pony Club Pony & Rider

Lenny also had a great result:
🥈 2nd in the Gymkhana

Ida:
🏅 5th in the 40cm Unassisted

🌟 Portman Show 🌟

Congratulations to our 40cm Lead Rein Team of Peggy, Lenny, Frank and Bella who finished an impressive 🥈 2nd place!

Individual results:
🥇 Peggy – 1st in the 40cm Lead Rein and 🥈 2nd in the 30cm
🏅 Lenny – 5th in the 30cm
🥉 Chloë – 3rd in the 50cm and qualified for the Sunshine Tour ☀️

Well done to everyone who took part over the half-term break. It was lovely to see our members out competing, gaining experience and representing the branch so well. We hope you all enjoyed your days out with your ponies and horses. 🐎✨

What a fantastic day. There was lovely team spirit, a super turnout and some excellent results.

✨ PC70
🏅 Amelia – 8th in her section
🥇 Elsie – 1st in her section

👏 The PC70 team finished 6th overall and has qualified for Bicton – a fantastic achievement!

🐎 Pony Racing at Exeter 🐎

Three of our Pony Club members were in action at Exeter on Thursday, all stepping up to ride in open races and producing some excellent results.

✨ Bo and Swanlow Spotlight moved up to the 138 Open Race following their recent win at Wincanton and finished a very creditable 6th. Bo also won the Best Turned Out award – and the photo shows exactly why! 👏

✨ Tallulah O had to switch to the 148 Open Race after the Intermediate race was cancelled and rode brilliantly to claim 2nd place.

🏆 Amber T and Rocket Ronnie continued their great form, winning the 148 Open Race.

Congratulations to all three riders and their ponies on a successful day of racing. 🐴👏

🐴☀️ Portman Pony Club Dressage Competition ☀️🐴

On Monday, several of our members represented us at the Portman Pony Club Dressage Competition. A huge well done to everyone who took part in what was a lovely competition, despite the very hot conditions! -thank you Portman Pony Club

We were incredibly proud to see all of our members and ponies looking so smart and beautifully turned out, representing our branch brilliantly both in and out of the arena.

🏆 PC70 Dressage
🥇 Lewis took the win and qualified for the Sunshine Tour – a fantastic achievement!
🥈 Team 2nd place for Lewis, Emily, Amelia and Elsie.

🥇 Team 1st place for Frank S, Lenny B and Bella.

Celebrating more of our members’ success over the weekend! 🐎✨

We had members competing at Axe Vale Pony Club show jumping at Chard, with some fantastic results:
🏅 Henry – 1st individually and part of the mixed team 1st in the 70cm
🥉 Nancy – 3rd individually and part of the mixed team 3rd alongside Henry in the 80cm

And a huge well done to Tilly W for winning the British Eventing 80 at Bovington yesterday – an amazing achievement! 👏

We love seeing our members out competing, supporting each other, and achieving such brilliant results. 💚

What a fantastic day on Saturday at Wincanton Racecourse! 🐎✨

A big thank you to Wylye Pony Club for putting on such a great event, and to PRA for providing a brilliant racing taster experience – our young members had an amazing time and gained so much from the day.

It was also lovely to see our mini and junior members out in force, absolutely loving supporting the older members taking part – such a great team spirit! 💚

We’re incredibly proud of all our riders and their fantastic results:
🏅 Amber – 1st in the 148 Open
🏅 Tallulah – 1st in the 148 Novice
🏅 Bo – 1st in the 138 Intermediate
👏 Lilly – 4th in the 128 Beginners Race

And well done to Alexis and Dorothy for two great runs – you all did us proud!
