Hey as most of you already know, I am here to announce the sad closure of Sammie's Dog Grooming, It has been a difficult decision to make as I built this business up from scratch, but I feel that now is the right time for me to move on to pastures new.

You have been some of the most fantastic and loyal clients which I have grown to know along the way, so thank-you for your support and custom over the years.
I will certainly miss all your four legged babies and wish you all the best for the future.

I will be continuing to run Sammies Pet Care Service as normal.

As I'm sure you're all aware, the weather is extreme at the moment and is set to get even hotter. With this in mind I wanted to let you know I may need to send dogs back damp or re arranged appointments with short notice.
Dogs do not enjoy being under the hairdryer in this heat so there may be occassions where they may be sent home damp depending on how they're coping just to help keep them cooler.
I put every effort into keeping your dogs as cool as possible however sometimes it's simply not safe to be in the salon. If dogs start to struggle I will send them home. I won't put a dog's life at risk for a haircut. It may be necessary to rearrange appointments at short notice depending on how each day is going. I hope you understand and agree that the dogs well being has to come first during this heat wave. 🌞

Did you know here at Sammies, I also offer a pet care service along side my Mobile Dog Grooming service. I visit your pet in your own home and take care of them whilst you are away or on holiday. I offer cat or small animal visits, for feeding, fuss and anything else you require for your pet. I can do as many visits a day as you would like. How the Kong ball was invented.

The Kong toy was invented by accident more than 40 years ago when Joe Markham needed a way to prevent his German Shepherd Fritz from biting on rocks and sticks. Fritz, who Markham adopted as a shelter dog, had worn down his teeth to one-third of the size they should have been.

He was working on his vehicle and tossed an axle stop with an attached bracket on the ground. His dog got hold of it and loved it. He was playing with it joyously, much to Markham’s amusement.

He said to his friend, “What do you think of my new dog toy?”

His friend replied, “Actually, it’s not too pretty. It looks like an earplug from King Kong.”

And the Kong toy was born.

⚠️With Amber weather warnings for wind all day tommorrow and Red Danger to life warning for the morning, Heres a few Tips to help make sure you keep your pets safe, ensure Dogs have collars with up to date tags on when outside incase they get spooked by the wind or noise. Check for fences down before letting out in the garden. Might be a good idea to keep your cats in and bring your small furries such as guineas and rabbits inside and secure hutches where possible. Stay safe everyone ❤🐾
