The day I’ve been dreading has arrived, it’s time to find a new home for my daughter’s absolute gem of a pony.
Milo is a 13.1 8 year old cob who has given so much joy, smiles and laughter in the 5 years he has been with us.
He lives in or out in a mixed group, is placid and usually bottom of the pecking order.
In the stable he has good manners, can be a little bit pushy at the door but a stern “no” and he moves back.
Loves attention, stands to be brushed, picks all of his feet up, good to bath and clip, can be fidgety to do legs but I usually start with those before doing body. Good with farrier, currently shod on fronts only.
He loads and travels well in a trailer, never been in a box but I can’t imagine he would mind that either. He’ll travel alone or with another. Ties up at the trailer to tack up etc.
Ridden wise he is a gem, can throw the odd excited buck but there’s no malice in it. Hacks alone, in groups usually at the back as he’s a bit of a plod but can be a little lively if needs be. Good in light traffic, hasn’t been in heavy traffic because of where we are located. He has seen most vehicles including heavy farm machinery.
He’s been to the beach, done a little dressage (not his favourite) show jumped up to 60cm but usually around the 50cm and done some xc schooling. However, for the last 6-8 months he’s mainly hacked.
Words can’t describe what this pony means to us but sadly he is outgrown and he has so much to offer another family. Homes will be stringently vetted for this little lad as he does mean an awful lot to us and if I was a few stone lighter I would keep him for myself.
