Many of you will be aware that my PD Miki had to be retired late last year due to a ruptured right cruciate which required TPLO surgery. His x-rays sadly showed further issues including hip dysplasia and spondylosis in his spine.

He was recovering really well from that op and back to his naughty goofball self when he went lame on the left leg. Vets do warn of the other cruciate likely to rupture in time sadly it seems this is where we are at.

RPD Miki now lives at home with us and will live out his life here. North Yorkshire Police funded the first operation before he was then retired to us. We are members of the Thin Blue Paw Foundation and when I spoke with Kieran Stanno the founder he immediately said don't worry we will support you in this. I can't tell you what a relief that was. Sadly Miki and Kenai were both medically retired about the same time and he's been in the wars too.
