Cat’s Whiskers Veterinary Clinic Cat’s Whiskers Veterinary Clinic is an independent, CAT only veterinary clinic situated in Worthing, West Sussex.

We are an ISFM GOLD accredited cat friendly clinic. We are a cat only veterinary clinic, exclusively membership only, on South Farm Road in Worthing, West Sussex. Consultations are by appointment only (20 or 30 minutes). We are open 5 days a week with a 24 hour emergency service. In the event of an emergency out of our opening hours please call 01903 830577

At Cat’s Whiskers, we don’t insist that cats are examined on the examination table if they prefer to settle somewhere else, even if that means we examine them and administer treatment in the sink!

Providing a is very important to us, we will work with you and your cat to ensure their (and your) stress is kept to a minimum.

Handsome young Tarquin pictured here, was anxious when he first arrived in the clinic, but with patience and gentle handling in our calm dog free environment, he was able to relax and allow us to give him a thorough health check and administer a vaccine and spot-on flea preventative 😻

If you are worried about the stress caused by visiting the vet, please get in touch and we will discuss with you the ways we can help reduce fear, anxiety and stress for your cat.

Handsome British Shorthair T***s visited the clinic last week for his health check and vaccination.

It is very important to have your cats checked by the clinical team every 6 months for early detection of health problems to ensure you get to spend as many years as possible with your feline companions.

Thankfully T***s had a clean bill of health, we thoroughly enjoyed his visit but we would love to know what he thought about his visit 😹

Already big fans of Feliway products, the clinic is currently trialing an new product in the waiting area called Zenifel.

Unlike a Feliway diffuser which plugs in, Zenifel is a gel diffuser packed with calming pheromones and catnip to aid any stress related behavior.

Each diffuser lasts 2 months and can help alleviate the following

* Urine marking
* Scratching of furniture or carpets
* Stressful events
* Excessive licking
* Multi cat household stress
* Moving home

Cat's Whiskers nurse Kate has also taken one home for residents Batman and Luigi to review and provide feedback.

Forever passionate about the next generation of feline friendly vet's, we are lucky enough to spend the most part of the year with a student vet for company. Amanda loves to teach them all she knows and encourage them that the fear free, gentle approach to feline medicine is essential to a cats wellbeing.

A week or so ago we were joined by lovely Helen from Bristol University who left us with this lovely card and really kind words which really were appreciated by the team.

Pretty Maud spent the day with the team this week when she came in for some investigations into a persistent cough.

Here at the clinic, all of our patients are given a special stress score at each appointment. Any cats with a score of 4 or more are given a Happy Kit Kit to use for their next visit. This can help relieve any anxiety associated with using a cat basket, travelling or just if your cat finds a vet visit stressful.

Maud is cool as a cucumber with a stress level of just 2 so this is not needed for her, however if you feel your cat would benefit from our calm, cat only approach and minimum 30 minute appointment time, then please hit the link below to register.

Lovely little Bob visited us this afternoon to start his kitten vaccination course, and to sample the yummy treats we have on offer to ensure a pawsitive experience for all the kittens we care for 😻
