Kicked off the new year with rambles with Rambo & finding out sheā€™s a horse whisperer. Only to find out this whispering involved negotiating a deal to eat a lot of horse pooā€¦ but hey ho. Itā€™s the countryside!

Did a little bit of horse management too. Mucking out, filling hay bags, watering, brushing down & getting the hoofed gals out dressed in their executive equine capes & into the paddock.

Wowsas! Dog boarding has kept me incredibly busy these last two months and Iā€™ve barely had time to post picsā€¦..but Iā€™m so grateful for every furry friend whoā€™s come through my door. Each one brings their own personality, joy, and a little chaosā€¦ and I wouldnā€™t trade it for anything.

From chasing squirrels in Victoria Park to meeting new pals along the shore, itā€™s been another month packed with happy tails and wagging adventures!

Slowing the pace a little with the 3 amigos over the weekend, but still making sure the old gal of the group gets her woodland fixā€”and, of course, a good squirrel hunt.

Blue had a back injury early in life, and it still affects her. Some days walking is tough, so she usually gets her own shorter, gentler outings. But every now and then, she lets me know sheā€™s up for more. On those days, I walk all three togetherā€”slow, easy, and completely on her terms.

I take great care to respect her needs, never pushing her beyond what sheā€™s comfortable with. When she says itā€™s time to head home, thatā€™s exactly what we do. She might move slower these days, but her spirit for adventure and her love for being with her clan hasnā€™t changed one bit.

Itā€™s a quieter kind of joy, moving at her paceā€”but no less meaningful.

Slowing down doesnā€™t mean missing out. It just means weā€™re doing things the way that works for herā€”and thatā€™s what really matters.
