Our professional community is generally very supportive of each other, and often we will refer clients if we cannot facilitate them, to someone appropriate to their needs.
In 2023 I noticed one of my dogs’ eyesight was deteriorating, and I could see she was struggling on her group walks with us. At 15 years young Dusty was still not ready to give up her walks, but unfortunately with an extremely tight schedule, I needed to find her an alternative. In agreement with her owner, I decided to contact a local walker that I met a few years ago, that had provided Dusty with holiday cover on a few occasions. We discussed Dusty’s needs, and were all
in agreement that she would be happier continuing her regular walks with Richard and his wife, who could provide walks more suited to Dusty’s needs. After regular updates on how she’s been doing, I sadly received the news yesterday, that Dusty had passed away at 17 years of age.
It’s never easy when we loose a dog, and I will always be grateful for the time I shared with Dusty, and for the love and care she was given by Richard and lynne over the last few years. For us it’s always about doing what’s right for our dogs, their welfare and happiness is always a priority, because we simply love them like we do our own 🥰
Today I received further news that Dusty’s owner had sadly passed away too.
