My very own alternative sled dog team!

Out early, beat the heat. Now five dogs are littered around the house and garden in shady/cool spots snoozing a sunny Bank hol Sunday away (all except for one little busy black stalwart - and of course the humans!)

I have just become aware of these FREE webinars to help dogs (and their people) to help manage and reduce stress caused by postal deliveries. They are being offered by 'The Blue Cross' animal charity. I'm sharing because I know it's such a common problem so some of you might be interested in having a look.

PS, update on The Beagle Boys, they are loving their new life in Italy and Marlow has had a career change, Lizard catcher (instead of Lounge Lizard). Frank continues developing his work as a trainee cat when he's not glued to gazing hypnotically at the oven door. They love going into town every morning mixing with the locals and lapping up the attention. They have a neighbour friend Scottie dog whose pool they have played in, basically, very happy 😊🤗

Fri 27th was a very sad day. I don't 'do' goodbye's very well anyway but when my heart is as invested as much as it is here it's especially hard to do.
Marlow & Frank, 'my' Beagle Boys. For several years I have shared in their little world and in doing so they have been so much a part of mine. We have shared some of the best and lovliest times, sometimes the most exhausting and frustrating, the quiet times and snuggles, the best and worst of the weather, my casserole (Frank!), being tangled (them and me) and without a doubt so much fun. These boys never fail to make me laugh, even when I've been hurtling towards an icy pond on the end of a lead whilst chasing geese (Marlow!). They have shared my home and become very much a part of our family, amusing us and loved by us all.
I was so happy to see that tonight they arrived safely and unscathed at their new home in Italy after a three and a half day journey. The video call showed them beagling their way around the house, checking out every nook and cranny and of course, the kitchen worktops! Still making me laugh from afar.
No apologies for beagle upon beagle upon beagle photo! Photos from times past (but not going back to 2020 when I first met Marlow) and also of my last few special days with them; my last night and snuggles, my last walk and last tangling! Some with Abigail when she came home at Christmas. I have ooodles more, these are merely a snippet of the loveliest treasured memories.
Oh how I will miss them 🤗🥰

It's been another very full year. As always, I consider myself so fortunate to do what I do! Of course there are stresses, days that are not so kind weather wise, a fair bit of busy and crazy and being worn to a frazzle 😅🙃......
and then there's oodles of the good stuff!

More a way of life than a job, the times I share with 'my' dogs, my friends, in beautiful places and at home brings me so much to be thankful for. The fun and laughs, cuddles, mischief and an abundance of a very unique kind of love and companionship is priceless.

I appreciate and value all of you and your beautiful dogs so very much - wishing you happiness over Christmas and for the coming year and a very sincere 'thank you'.
PS love it when I'm asked if I wouldn't mind stirring the casserole when I pick up the pooch 🤣🤣
