Missing a walk today won't kill your dog but a walk on a day like today that is over 30°c can.
Keep them cool and calm and inside.
Walk late at night or not at all.
Thinking " my dog is ok to go out in temperatures this hot " is just luck...your dog is uncomfortable!
It's not worth the risk.
Damp towels for them to lay on or cool mats
Give them Frozen or fridge cold fruit and vegetables.
A paddling pool in a shaded part of the garden
Pure apple juice or apples are good to give for hydration and sugar in moderation (and remove core and pips)
Wet inside their ears, belly , neck and insidr legs with cold water will help keep them cool.
Dogs in the UK are not used to hot weather like other countries.

We have opened a secure dog walking field! It is a safe and secure space for your dog to be able to run off their lead. Perfect for dogs whose recall needs a little practice or dogs who don't enjoy meeting other dogs on their walk etc.

We are located between Sywell and the A43, NN6 0BG.
