To all our lovely clients,
We just wanted to address the recent news about the CMA report.
We agree with a lot of the points raised and wanted to share our thoughts with you.
🐶 Practice ownership. We are owned by Avril & Nicola and are fully independent. Our consult and surgery fees are set fairly and are based on the time and professional expertise that we provide to you and your pet. Our drug fees are based on our wholesaler prices
😺 Transparency. The prices of routine procedures are already on our website. All surgery estimates are given on the morning of the procedure. We are happy to give these beforehand upon request.
🐶 All clinical decisions are based on what is best for your pet. If finances are a concern please chat to us at the time, so we can come up with a solution. We will never push you into something that you can't afford.
We welcome any positive change, that helps pet owners make informed choices. But please also be aware, that we are a business, and in order for us continue to stay open, we need to generate revenue to ensure all our staff and bills are paid and to maintain our high standard of care that your pet deserves.
We welcome any questions, and appreciate the worries around vet fees. But please note that we will not tolerate any abusive language towards our staff.
We love being a village vets, and we have a great team (there are 13 of us!). Over the next few months we'll be sharing some team member posts, so you can get to know us all a bit better. (We've started with an adorable photo of Bonnie, who belongs to Charlotte (our co-head RVN)).
