FINAL EVENT UPDATE ☀️🐾
I would be so incredibly grateful if everybody could please share this far and wide, as I’m genuinely worried somebody may miss the updates.
I have tried extremely hard to adapt the show in the fairest and safest way possible for both dogs and handlers due to the warmer weather expected.
To help classes run efficiently and reduce waiting times, some classes have been combined. However, we will have TWO judges in each mixed class and the classes will still be separated within the ring to keep things as fair as possible.
Muzzle Pride will now be held online, along with Best in Show and the Points Champion. Details on how these will work will follow shortly. Rosettes will still be awarded and delivered. 🏵️
We are aiming to finish by approximately 1pm, before temperatures reach around 26 degrees, in order to avoid the hottest part of the day. Dog welfare remains our absolute priority throughout the event.
Please also understand that if temperatures rise any further than currently predicted, we WILL cancel the event. While we all want the day to go ahead and raise money for the amazing Waltham Forest Pet Food Bank, no fundraiser is ever more important than the welfare and safety of the dogs attending. ❤️
Please remember:
☀️ Shade and cooling first
💧 Bring plenty of water
🐶 Give dogs space
❤️ If your dog is not comfortable, please do not feel pressured to stay
Thank you so much to everybody who has supported the event, shared kind messages and understood that a huge amount of planning has gone into trying to make this work safely for everyone involved.
Now please excuse me while I attempt to lower my stress levels before I accidentally replace hydration with wine
