🏛️ Planning Consent Secured – 1930s Farmer’s Cottage, Stratford-upon-Avon 🏛️
We’re pleased to confirm that full planning approval has been granted for the renovation and extension of a 1930s brick-built farmer’s cottage in Stratford-upon-Avon.
As RIBA Chartered Architects, our design approach respects the cottage’s vernacular character while introducing a series of well-proportioned additions that respond to contemporary living needs. The existing brickwork has been rendered to provide a more timeless and cohesive aesthetic, aligning the property with its landscaped setting and enhancing its architectural clarity.
🔹 Scope of Works Includes:
• Restoration and rendering of original masonry to unify the external envelope
• Installation of heritage-style, thermally efficient fenestration
• Reconfiguration of internal layout to improve usability and daylighting
• A new rear extension incorporating a glazed sunroom and open-plan living space
• Landscaping and boundary enhancements to reinforce site identity and privacy
The property sits within a mature residential setting and retains a strong architectural presence. Our proposals aim to elevate its functionality and aesthetic coherence while maintaining fidelity to its historical context.
We look forward to progressing into technical design and delivery phases, and to sharing updates as the transformation unfolds.
