🌞 Keeping poultry cool in the hot weather 🐔🦃

With high temperatures this week,it’s important to help keep your birds comfortable and healthy ☀️

Here's a few simple things can make a big difference to our feathered ones:👇

- Plenty of shade available throughout the day
- Fresh water at normal temperature and topped up regularly
- Good airflow around coops and pens
- Avoid overcrowding where possible
- don't bathe them in cold water
- water based treats such as watermelon

It’s also really important to stay on top of routine health checks at this time of year

Mites absolutely love warm weather, so now’s the time if you haven't already to regularly check housing, perches, and your birds themselves to catch any issues early.

A little extra care in this heat goes a long way ❤️🐓

Just under a month old and a few decided to escape their pen and venture the bigger enclosure 😂🤦‍♀️

Happy Bank Holiday weekend ☀️🐔

Perfect weather today to spend some extra time with the chickens!
The chicks are stealing the show at the moment and they're growing so fast!
They're feathering up lovely and are so curious which is always funny, but honestly, the cuteness from these is unreal 🐣

They weren't photogenic for these ones but we'll work on that 😂

Fertility has been amazing with the cream legbars and have hatched some gorgeous and friendly chicks from them 🐥
