Hi everyone. Thanks for all the recent love and shares on my new page, really appreciate it! πΆπΉπ°π¦π
So I thought I'd do a bit of a background post on my knowledge and experience with different animals to help reassure people who may not know what experience I actually have.
*Currently half way through a 2 year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management course which has helped to expand my knowledge on the welfare and husbandry needs of many different types of animals such as mammals, reptiles and birds in both a theory and hands on way.
*As part of my course I've also been able to carry out work placements at locations such as Brockswood Animal Sanctuary, The Animal Man and the PDSA veterinary hospital. This means I've been able to get even further hands on experience and knowledge with animals such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, owls, skunks, tenrecs, hedgehogs, kinkajous, snakes, geckos, bearded dragons as well as farm animals such as chicken, sheep, goats, donkeys, ponies, pigs, ducks etc.
*I've owned over the years a range of animals from dogs, cats, small birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and still currently have a dog and two guinea pigs. I would say dogs, cats and guinea pigs are my strongest areas of knowledge and experience but through my course have picked up so much experience in caring for other species mentioned above as well as others and I'm always reading up about other animals and learning more even when not studying.
*I've done pet sitting in the past numerous times for friends and family which has included dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters so pet sitting is by no means a new thing to me and neither is dog walking.
*Also due to carrying out a work placement at the PDSA as well as studying subjects specific to animal health and diseases this means I have some knowledge on what signs to look out for should an animal become unwell so you know your pets are in safe hands!
Sorry for the long post but I think it's so important to know you are putting the care of your pets into the right hands and anyone who knows me knows how obsessed and how much I LOVE interacting with all different kinds of animals. It genuinely fills me with so much joy!
