Having some fun with my best boy yesterday (he didn’t know ‘round’ or ‘left’ around an object before this session) ❤️🥹 tried a similar thing today but he was far too tired/disinterested to participate.. neurodivergent dog? I think so…

Smiles all round from the ‘caramel crew’, such a fun walk 🥰🤩

A little bit of a game on my walk with Mr Bailey to help him to think for himself and assist in his ability to disengage/have impulse control around other dogs. Simple but so effective 🤩

Such a fun day of walks, loving this sunshine ☀️

Friday Fun 🤩 loved this little duo today. Every time I see Loki I feel like a new ‘milestone’ has been hit. Today, a duo walk with just me (no mum, ), travelling in the same car as another dog, off lead time in a new(ish) location. No reactions and just lots of fun - even if he did go into some muddy water that was a little too deep 😆

I adore this dog and his wonderful owner who always tries her hardest for him, proof that patience and love always triumphs (and an awful lots of treats!) 🧡🥰

The sweetest pair you ever did see 🥹

I’ve been walking Finn for about 6 months now and in that time he has come on in leaps and bounds! He would run at some speed and distance to greet everyone and anything - he can now safely walk past people, goats, horses and bikes without rushing up to them. He is now able to recall away from dogs at a 15m distance, something that was impossible before.

He has been having an education in how to disengage from other dogs and that not every dog is to be said hello to, or how to say a quick hello and move on.

Part of the process has also been being matched with appropriate dogs that don’t wish to engage in play, Finn has started to learn more social skills and is not as intense as he once was.

It’s taken time, patience and lots of treats but he is such a fab boy!! Safe to say him and Maggie adore eachother 😍 (believe it or not, there were breaks in the play).

I’m so very proud of him and privileged to be trusted with such a special boy 💙

One of the biggest struggles for dog owners is loose lead walking so I thought I’d share a little training tip with you all:

1. Dog on a lead and harness (PerfectFit are ideal 👌🏼)
2. Handful of treats, put one on the floor, and another, and another - dog looks up at you asking for more, reward, and repeat.
3. Go to the local bakery, purchase a sausage roll.

JOB DONE 🤪 YOU’RE WELCOME!
