Looking back at the week we just had at the academy thinking how lucky we are to be able to teach these amazing people and get to watch them grow into amazing groomers 🥰

CONGRATULATIONS to Nicola, Demi & Ellie for completing and passing there AIM Level 3 certificate in dog grooming🎓🐶🐾

Nicola passed her exam on Wednesday with the lovely Ollie Goldendoodle 🐩

Demi and Ellie passed there exam on Friday with Tom the Cockapoo and Ted the Cockapoo 🐶

They all absolutely smashed the exams and it’s so lovely to be able to not only teach what we love doing but also making friendships in the process 🤎 We can’t wait to see them absolutely thrive in the future and The Rascals team will miss them so much.

Alison is on day 5 of her AIM level 3 Diploma course at the Rascals Academy and this week we have been really focusing on washing different types of coat what types of shampoo to use for different coat types and also doing nails clearing pawpads and learning how to correctly health check a dog.

We find that the prep for the dog is such an important part of the groom and if not done properly it can really effect the groom or the dogs skin if you do not properly use the right shampoo or equipment. She is absolutely smashing her first week here and the next steps will be clipping!

Eric the Show Cocker spaniel was a perfect candidate he hasn’t been in a while his coat was dirty and a little dull so Alison went for a dirty dog shampoo and then complimented it with a hydrating second shampoo wash and the results were great!
