Why not try a shoulder extension with your horse? To do a shoulder extension, you'll pick up either front foot and, while keeping it low at first, pull the leg gently out in front of the horse. You'll then pull upwards slightly to further the stretch. It's important for the handler to bend from the knee not your back. Always keep an eye on your horse's reaction and try not to force the stretch. Your horse needs to relax into the movement to benefit fully from the exercise.
